Several bar and chain combinations fit the 51 model saw. If your saw runs an H46 / H80 or H81 style chain you will need a 7/32" (5.5 mm)
If you are running a H21 style chain you will need 3/16" (4.8mm)

How to connect 2 unmanaged 24 port switch as one unit

You can connect them using a x-over cable to an unused port. the switch should detect the other switch and trunk it automatically. (don't connect more than 1 or you will get a switching loop and possibly a broadcast storm... which is bad)

Our fire station has a cat5e cable supplying internet access to our internal network from a switch in city hall. It connects a baystack 350 to their switch. If this cable is left plugged in during the...

Very likely an IP problem. The server in City Hall is most likely doing the DHCP assignments for all connected machines, and if there is a LAN server running DHCP also in the firehall, there will be a conflict, which may not manifest itself until the assigned IP leases expire and renew. If this is the case, try a router WITH DHCP DISABLED between the two systems, WAN side toward City Hall. As a quick test, disconnect the cable and run IPCONFIG on a firehouse machine. Note the IP, it should begin with 10, 172 or 192. Reboot the machine, run IPCONFIG again. If the IP comes back, you have DHCP running on something. If you see something like 169.254.???.??? you do not, in that case try hooking up a router configured just as it comes from the box. If anything in the firehouse is wireless, making connection thru a wireless router, the problem may be a simple miswire. WAN side toward City Hall and one of the ports toward your switch, don't use the other three. May need to use the uplink port or a crossover cable between router and switch. Baystack 425 flashing amber on all ports

Make sure you're using the correct console cable...if it's not wired correctly, hyperterminal will continue to give you a blank stare no matter what you do. A great way to verify your cable is to try it on another switch that's working ok. Your hyperterminal comm settings should be 9600 baud, 8 data bits, one stop bit, no parity, and flow control disabled...assuming no one changed the default console settings on the switches.

If you are still having trouble getting a prompt from the console, you can try the following procedure, although this is only known to work on earlier versions of the Baystack switches...

Shut down the power and wait for about a minute. With hyperterminal connected...turn on the power and type "NetICs" (don't include the quotes) within 15 seconds of turning on the power. This should place you in a privileged mode and allow you to use the menu to reset the switches to factory defaults. Good luck!
