Question about Seiko Mantel Clock
Is this clock a battery clock? If it is then it could be your batteries or it could be than the movement inside the clock has a loose wire or it is kaput. If it is the batteries then the chiming should be sounding funny so I kind of doubt that it is the battery unless you have a battery for the chiming and a separate battery for the ticking. Maybe the battery went flat and has leaked acid on the contacts. Take meths or surgical spirits on an ear bud and dab the acid. Take water sandpaper and gently and softly rub the contacts to clean them and wipe again with meths or surgical spirits. If that does not work or that is not the problem see if it is a loose wire. This is the most common problem and some one that can solder the goodies in t.v.'s ect will be able to reconnect the wire for you. Kaput then you will have to either throw out the clock and get a new one or see if you can find a supplier of clock parts that will have that particular movement and just replace the movement.
