  1. I would check the cord for good connection, make sure its all the way in the outlet and that its connected firmly in the back of the machine.
  2. Then check the door latch, sometimes the latch is loose or not locking properly, allowing the door to open slightly, stopping the machine.
If none of these work you might be looking at a short
3. Wires touching behind the control panel on the top of the machine or something along those lines.

Hope this helps

I have a gallery series dryer and after a short time, maybe 20min, the dryer stops and all the lights on the right side start flashing

Good Morning Catherine Funk, thank you for your post!
From my understanding your Frigidaire dryer will start and stop after 20 minutes, also the lights on the right side start flashing. Could you provide me with your model number, please? You can usually locate it on the door frame of your dryer. With that information I can examine your control board and provide any further assistance. -Matt

Why does my gas dryer heat keep shutting off?

The solenoid coils on the dryer are acting up. This is a common problem. They work a little then heat up and short out. Easy fix I did some videos:

Dryer won't stay on

The motor centrifugal switch is not switching from the start winding to the run winding. The switch should stay in the run winding when the motor picks up speed unless power to the motor is interrupted or cut off. The switch is replaceable on most dryer models but sometimes it is an integral or built-in part of the dryer motor and failure of the switch requires the replacement of the motor. Indicate the exact model number of the dryer for more accurate troubleshooting and repair advice.

Trips breaker when plugged in

If it still does, you have a dead short in the electrical system of the dryer. Don't try to use it until you get it fixed. It could start a fire.

Dryer Model DE306 has stopped heating

First thing to check is the ignitor underneath the drum. (You have to open the panel to see it) It should glow shortly after the dryer starts, then the flame starts and the ignitor shuts off. If the ignitor does not glow then it or the thermostat is bad. If the ignitor is glowing but the gas does not light then the flame sensor may have to be replaced. If the gas ignites but does not stay on either the flame sensor or the coils are at fault.

I have a Whirlpool gas dryer model #LGR7648KQ1. When I first start it it heats but after a short time it stops heating. It sounds like it is trying to start again but it will not.

The easiest way to check the ignitor is to observe it. Remove the small access panel in front, select a high temperature setting and start the dryer. Watch the burner assembly, shortly after starting the dryer the ignitor should begin to glow or spark. If you see it glow or spark, then the ignitor is working.

You need a flame sensor

Frigidaire dryer model number LGQ1442ES0 won't stop spinnin

Ive seen this before. There was actually a coin that had fallen out of the drum and got stuck on one of the contacts, causing it too short. Open the dryer panel, unplug it first, and look for any signs of a coin or somthing shorting a circuit. Thats step one. Hope this helps. Dave www.washermd.com
