All helicopters do even real ones you need to add a little collective.

If you have a 2 channel toy then the mainshaft may be bent or the flybar jammed.

1 blade appears to rotate slower than the other 3, so when i try to takeoff and hover it just flips out. Is this defective or a setting issue?

Presuming you are referring to a remote controlled helicopter I have seen many hit something or crash and the set screw for the blade to the shaft has come loose or left the building. If so the repair is frustrating but achievable with diligence and a bit of determination.

Helicopter swerves right at speed

Hang it from a sting attached to the rotor shaft and see if it hangs level. It sounds to me like it is off balance.

In general, the main rotor in an R/C helicopter only tips forward and backwards of vertical center. Direction is determined by the tail rotor. If the entire machine is tilting right, even if the rotor doesn't appear to be, check the motor mount, and or gear train of the main rotor in the fuselage. The main rotor shaft in the fuselage should be exactly vertical relative to the helicopter deck and with trim tabs centered. If your model has the two small fans, one on either side of the fuselage, try replacing the propeller on the right one, even if it looks OK and check for lint or hair on motor shafts. Again, this is a general answer from my own experience. Hope it helps.

What is the tail rotor in helicopters?

The tail rotor is a piece at the back of the helicopter that keeps the helicopter from spinning by blowing air sideways. It also helps the helicopter to turn.

Why would my sway bar keep sliding to the right instead of staying centered?

Only way that can happen is if whatever it's attached to is moving sideways. Check all diff mounts, track bar and bushings.

My Havoc Heli is really hard to control and I need help.

You have to keep tapping the right trim button. Keep tapping it until it stops spinning. If the spinning stops and it just turns, Use the the left right moving analog un til it flies straight.

Toto Dartmouth toilet flapper/chain design flaw

Your right this is a poor design. Space was the main reason for this and functionality was sacrificed. However, you can get a replacement rod at a major plumbing store. You could rig it by attaching a stem to the valve assembly. Allow the chain or rubber piece to slide over it. It is kind of like putting a permanent finger in the path of the chain to give it a "direct" lift up. This would then force the chain to go up instead of at an angle.

Tail rotar

Yes - it matters for any heli.

The main rotor creates drag which makes the heli want to spin - the tail rotor pulls the heli in the opposite direction to compensate and keep it steady.

Look at the angle of the main rotor in regard to the direction it turns - you'll see how it 'pulls' upward. The tail rotor will need to 'pull' sideways, according to whichever direction the tail rotor is spinning.

I'm assuming you're reattaching a tail rotor or rewiring a motor?
