Toilet BLUBS downstairs when flushed upstairs.

When toilet on the second floor is flushed the toilet on the first floor makes a large "blub" and the water is strong enough to wet the toilet seat.

Your sewer vent may be clogged, or if you are in the northern climates, frosted shut. When you flush the toilet the water displaces the air in the drain piping. The vent gives the air somewhere to go. If the vent is plugged the dispaced air forces it's way out through the path of least resistance( the lower toilet in this case).Pour some hot water down the vent where it comes through the roof to thaw it out.or run a snake down the vent. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Downstairs toilet won't stop filling, upstairs toilet won't fill

for the upstairs if the valve is fully on there is not much you can do other than replace water service to the house or heaven forbid repipe.Valves usually don't restrict fill volume. But you can take the supply loose from the tank and stick it in a bucket turn the valve on and check the flow.this should narrow it down.Down stairs repair or replace flush valve

Toilet not flushing completely

Prelude:
My toilet had the same problem a few times. I managed to clean it out because the pipe is somehow connected to the downstairs drainage pipe in my house. What fixed the toilet clog was going to the source of the problem and pouring extremely powerful hair clog remover chemicals in it (I did have to open all the windows and get the pets as far away as possible and wear a mask). After the specified amount of time waiting, I went to go flush and it worked.

**Answer**:
I would recommend doing the same thing but only if everyone in the house is gone for 1 hour. Also I would air it out by leaving windows open, not first floor doors or windows though. It can be deadly if inhaled for extended periods of time. The more powerful the cleaner, the better the results but the deadlier it can be if inhaled. Try this.

My second guess is that it may be the plug inside the toilet's tank. You should check to see if it is working properly. Try flushing with the lid off and watch the plug to see if it is working properly.

Toilet upstairs sometimes drains when the one downstairs is flushed.

It could be a blocked vent.when the downstairs toilet flushes it draws air down the drain with the wastewater. The vent is suppose to supply air to make up for this. If the vent is blocked or there is no vent. Air is drawn from the easiest place ,in this case through the upstairs toilet, drawing the water out of the toilet trap with it. In northern climates the vents sometimes frost shut causing the problem you describe. Hope this helps.

Saniplus pump sounds like a jackhammer

I'm glad you asked today, and not 3 months ago!
We also have this model, and ours is hooked to a septic tank, and with a whole lot of trouble, I believe we have your answer.
It is: Toilet paper.
You can pull up the Sani-flush people on line, and they will help you disassemble your unit and clean it. You should find it bound up with a big wad of toilet paper. The newer toilet papers, particularly the softer/gentler/stronger ones, are more glue than paper, and will clog up everything. After our latest go-around a few months ago, we had to go to some stores and buy an assortment of toilet papers, and put samples in glass jars with water, and shake them, to see which would disintegrate, and which stayed together. Because of this, sounds like you will find this the problem. Best not push the motor, or it may burn up, and be quite expensive to fix.
Be blessed,

HELP! How do I fix a toilet that will not flush? I suspect the wax seal has not sealed properly due to tile floor being added and raising the level of the toilet. Could this be the problem?

I would have used low power jet wash with pipe cleaning attachment when the toilet was off, I know karcher do a good 1 but there are cheaper alternatives. The last toilet I fitted had a large rubber type seal between the wate outflow pipe and the out pipe of the toilet that fitted over the base of the pipe. I have never seen a wax type seal as you describe, admittedly I have not changed many toilets, but I would have changed the seals when the tiolet was lifted. Hope this helps

Sewage backs into the shower when the toilet is flushed

Obviously the drain line from your toilet to main drain out of the house ( used by upstairs ) has a blockage from your toilet line to "Y" in to main drain line. Depending on how it has been plumbed, there may be a clean-out between the 2 that can be used to remove the blockage. Your drain for shower is piped in to same line as toilet, thus when blocked at other end, overflows to shower. You can try some drain cleaner down shower drain if it will go. You might get lucky and release the blockage before plumber shows up .

Koler K4620 Suddenly will not flush. Water filling up to the top. Tissue in camode, flushed and water to the top. Used plunger' Waited several hr and tried again. Other toilets onsec. floor working. ...

Several possibilities. I have seen hygenic items " stack up" in a 4 inch line creating this
problem on at least two occasions. Try using a 6 foot extendable toilet auger instead of
a plunger. (home depot carries them for about 45 dollars or you may be able to rent one
at the tool rental). If this does not solve the problem you may have to use a shop vac to
empty the toilet and auger it from the bottom as well as the main line after pulling it
Examine the exiting
flange of the toilet itself as many times something as simple as a bowl freshener wire or a
Q tip can cause paper to clog the toilet. Hope this helps.

My toto toilet was installed with the seal which came with it. A leak started in the downstairs suite and when the plumber lifted the toilet off the floor he said it needed a wax seal as well as the rubber...

That should work. Sometimes if the space between the bottom of the fixture and the top of the collector ring is too large, (ie: the addition of flooring) one can double up on the wax rings also.
