When I power on my pc the power on indicator goes on but the display on the monitor shows no signal. what could be the problem?

Hi and welcome kweya_ellam !
Verify the connections and the power supply of your monitor ( on/of ) .
Otherwise your HDD or worse , your motherboard are dead .
Most of the time , you can retreive your data from a damaged HDD :
Extract the drive out of your pc . Place it in an external usb box and connect it to a healthy computer or connect it as secundary right inside the computer to the motherboard with the correct interface ( IDE or Sata ) .
Best regards ,
Fanaudi .

Monitor (no signal) after replacing mother board and CPU

try only connect Monitor and keyboard, and check for booting (disconnect all the rest (HDD, CD DRIVE, Sound Card, Network Card, ....) then try connect one by one and always off to change hardware config.

If dont work with monitor and keyboard, try reset bios(jumper),check again, then replace memory modules (must be compatible to new motherboard), evan dont work, send back the motherboard for defective motherboard.

Integrated Visual (VGA).. Not sending signal

One never knows what settings the manufacture set the board to. So clear your bios. See the page 1-16 in your manual. Doing this should reset the bios to default settings. The onboard VGA graphics controller should send video to your monitor. If you still don't receive display the problem is with the bios or the graphics controller. Your board is no longer warranted. However you can buy an updated bios chip from Asus. Call 812-282-2787 M-F 8:00AM-5:00PM. Have your serial number ready. You'll find that number on a sticker over the LPT port. I already went to Asus online estore to see if they had a new bios but no such luck;

Good luck!

No signal on monitor

You might try switching the VGA cable if you haven't. If that doesn't work then I'd agree with you in saying the motherboard is likely fried.

I have a PcChip A13G/A13G+ and cannot get a signal to my monitor.

You did not state if this is a new or used motherboard or if it has been set up for a while, if this were a new set up and I would not loose any or much data, I might just buy a new board, this one is not that expensive.Provided that the monitor is operating properly, the problem could be the on board video on your motherboard. If you have the ability to check the monitor on another computer, I would check that first to isolate the problem. If the monitor is working, I would then look at the motherboard or possibly the video drivers for the motherboard. I have at times had to install, even if only temporally, a video, or ethernet card on a motherboard until I could check the function of all of the motherboard components or download drivers to get them operating. The problem with having no video is that I am unable to look at the system properties to check the function of the system hardware. I would start with a video card, even if I had to buy an inexpensive one just to check the system.

No Signal

No signal on screen means that there is no input for your monitor from the PC.

1. There might be problem in your PC or in the cable connected to PC from monitor.
2. Your PC might damage that it could not send signal to the monitor.
2.1 In your Motherboard might be faulty in the VGA chips.
2.2 In your Motherboard's SMPS mean power supply.

I think you can got my point. If you are tech person it will help you, otherwise you should take a tour to any service centre.

Thanks & Goodluck
