If I understand correctly when you switch no the blower doesn't come on ? it normally will take up to a minute in some cases if it does not start this mean there is not enough gas in the system as the blower will only start up if the pipe sensor is activated by gas tempreture.

Switch it to auto. If it works, change the sub-base of the thermostat.

I HAVE CARRIER AC MODEL NO. 38HQR18UP30-03, WHEN START THE AC ONLY THE INSIDE BLOWER IS STARTING OUTSIDE UNIT FAN AND COMPRESSOR DOESNT START.....

It could be a number of things. Check breaker panel inside your house for flipped breakers. Check for bad fuses and check your capacitors. But only if you know how to use a multimeter and shut the power off first and understand how to de energize the capacitor. Otherwise call an electrician of hvac professional. Otherwise doing so can be deadly if your are unsure of electricity

Was running ac. Now blower won't come on for ac or heat. Error code 24 is displayed. Please advise. Would a blown fuse at ac unit cause blower to stop all together

It could be your capacitor. I had a fan capacitor go out on one of my 3 units last year and it cost close to $300 for an AC company to come out and fix it. I watched them fix it and it's something that you can do yourself if you know what you're doing and are careful to hook it up right. I have three AC units and another capacitor went out this year and I found a kit with detailed instructions with pictures and phone support at hvacrepairkits.com. It saved me over $200 on the capacitor replacement.

Blower never stops. AC outside jammed to stay on???

You need to call someone who truely knows what they're doing. From your decription, the person you had out should not be working on units. You have a problem most likely caused be the person that installed the new motor and these units are not designed to be worked on by the homeowner. There are hazards that could cause damage or injury.

BLOWER MOTOR PROBLEM

If the thermostat isnt set to fan on, and the temp in the house is ok, there is probabily a fan off delay in the units circuit board thats defective.

Problem with carrier heat pump

Check the relays on the main board of your blower/furnace. If one is stuck, then the unit will not change from ac to heat. You may need to replace the entire board.
