My kindle is frozen at pause screen

had this the other day with a kindel. check the charger is working or change to another usb and leave on for 10min, then press the power button. if this does not work you will need to prise off the screen cover and undo the 10 torx screws and use a something like a kitchen knife not sharp and prise the top of gently as there is 4 clips holding down the board and screen, when its out remove the battery its a push the pins in on the sides and pull away. leave it unplugged for a few seconds then plug back in, now while its out plug the charger in, it will have an amber led show at the charging port area you will see it blink about a minute after charger is plugged in, now press the power button and it should turn on now (button is in the same place as the case ) leave it on charge out of casing and when charged and the led is green replace in case remove power lead and put the power connection on the board in first to the case and push down on the corners you will hear it click, then screw the case back down. (remember when the screen cover is off put it to one side and make sure nothing gets onto the sticky side) when all back together with the screws put the screen cover back on. and you are done.

Screen frozen. Push reset screen goes blank and will not turn on. Put in charger and back to the frozen screen.

Try again. Make sure Kindle is charged. Hold down the on button until you see the fire logo. This usually works.

My kobo is frozen on starting sync won't turn on or off

Note: If your Kobo device has been physically damaged, it is no longer covered by Kobo's limited warranty. On a Kobo eReader, a physically damaged screen will look like it's been shattered, or you may see vertical or horizontal lines on the screen with a frozen image. If you haven't dropped or damaged your Kobo eReader, but are experiencing issues, try the steps below in the order suggested.
  • Turn your eReader off and then on again.
  • If your screen is frozen, slide the power button to the right and hold it for 10 seconds. Your eReader should turn off.
  • Turn your eReader off and charge it for at least four hours. Note: Your computer should be turned on while you are charging your Kobo eReader.
  • If your eReader isn't charging, try using a different Micro USB cable or a different USB port on your computer. Note: If your eReader's battery is completely drained it can take up to 15 minutes before it reacts to being plugged into power.
  • If you're having trouble while reading a book on your Kobo Aura H2O, Kobo Aura, Kobo Aura HD, Kobo Glo, or Kobo Mini: tap the centre of the screen to bring up the Reading Menu, tap the > Home icon to return to your Home screen, then open your book again.
  • If you're having trouble while reading a book on your Kobo Touch: press the Home button and open your book again.
  • Try a basic reset.
  • If you're still having issues, consider a factory reset.
  • If you're unable to reset your device, please contact Kobo Customer Care

How to get back to settings on frozen samsung tablet

Tablet should have a "reset" button on top or side. Small hole. You need an object that would fit--it will take it back to factory specs. Make sure tablet is fully charged--or plugged in first. Worked for me.

When I picked up my Kindle to read it today, the screen was on and frozen. I tried to turn the page and nothing happened. I tried turning it on and off and nothing happened. My husband held the power...

Your husband switched the device off. If you give the power switch a short nudge only, it goes in and out of "stand-by" mode, it is not really switched off.

Try to slide and hold the power switch again, until after the power light blinks three times. Should happe after ~5 seconds of holding. The Kindle should restart now --- takes about a minute, but you will see a progress bar to keep you happy during the delay.

Non responsive (battery is fully charged). Screen has frozen up.

There is a reset button at the bottom (insert paper clip in pinhole). If all attempts trying to unfreeze it fail, you may have a logic board issue. Are you sure the Kindle powers up? Try to power up your Kindle with a different battery. If that fails, you can get the part at Kindle Repair and there is a guide that shows you how to open a kindle and install parts at Kindle Repair Guide.
