Question about Televison & Video
I need the code to allow the Bose Lifetsyle to control the Kogan TV so as not to have to keep using mutliple remote controls
The Bose remote control have no set-up codes to synchronize with Kogan TV. If you wish to get more codes and other details. It has setup code list, and setup procedure to many popular brand remote controls. If you wish to buy a genuine remote control, you have to contact the authorized service center. If you wish to buy a universal remote control, you should know about, which brand remote control have set-up codes to your TV brand, and buy that one according to availability. If you wish to get more details about this, try the sites linked here.

Have you tried using the remote antenna supplied with the Bose system? This connects to the "Remote antenna" socket on the rear of the media centre and is made up of 2 parts: a shielded section (black in colour) that runs past any sources of interference - mains or signal cables, other electronics products - and the unshielded antenna (clear plastic covered copper wire) that must be fully extended vertically to act as an aerial. Position this away from sources of interference and as close to the second room as possible (Bose do a longer version, free of charge in some countries....)
The remotes only have a range of up to 20metres - this will drop the more walls it passes through and the thicker the walls. Any interference can affect this - radio transmitting equipment (WiFi, video sender, but especially products transmitting on the same frequency - 27MHz or 40MHz, e.g wirless thermostats or alarm systems....) or products with poorly shielded transformers. Experiment with swtiching off other electical equipment (including lights if they have a transformer - e.g. halogen spot lamps). If you identify a source, can you move it away.....?

I got my bose remote to work when I did a system update on the remote. Turn the TV on. Select the TV video input that connects the system. On the control console, press and hold setup until the system information screen displays. line 5 will display the currently installed console software version. on the remote press any button. Line 10 will display the currently installed remote software version. Do a bose system update. On the control console press setup. on the remote control, press the down arrow until update is highlighted and press ok. make sure yes is highlighed and press ok. on the control console plug a clean usb drive into the usb port.when prompted, remove the usb drive and connect it to a computer. open the drive and double click on the download_launcher file, which should bring you to an update page on bose.com. Once complete, put it back in the control console. When the update is complete remove the usb.

SOURCE: tv remote doesnt work
Consult the owner manual carefully as the set may have a way to lock out or not allow the remote to work.
Yes, it could be the remote receiver in the set is bad but if you just bought the set--it should have a warranty.
It is either the remote is locked out or bad or a issue in the set.
