Clean print heads brother MFC J425W

This is what I figured out to get the printing back to normal.

Open up the printer so you are looking at the place where the print heads go back and forth, you will also see the paper feeder. In the back left corner is where the ink is dispensed. There was build up on mine. As usual grab a 10 or so q-tips and some rubbing alcohol and clean the build up of goopy ink.

You won't ever get it completely clean because more ink will keep dispensing. Close it up and run a test print again.

I have a 90 series washer, about 15 years old, the fabric softener dispenser is not emptying. I have pulled it off and cleaned it, but it only works once after I do that.

HI,
I would re-clean the dispenser, use hot water can completely clean this. If you don't add water to fabric softener, it will cake up and cause this issue. This problem can also cause spotting and appear to have issues on clothing. Just soak dispenser using hot water and pressure to clean out all the ports and openings within the dispenser.
I hope this helps, worst case you can replace dispenser, but I would just clean it (cheaper).

The soap dispenser will not open and release the soap. What can I do?

Use a flat-head screw-driver to pry-open the top cover. The dispensing hole or tubing might have clogged, and you should clean this out.

Very damp smell

Make sure there are no leaks from the machine. look behind it and check the water inlet hose and connectors for any damage. Also look under the machine for any water as this may indicate a leak from the internal hose and pipe work and / or water pump. Also check that the outlet hose is completely clear of debris and soap scum build up and check that the filter is clean.

To keep the machine clean of waste build up and to keep any bad odours away
1. Remove all items from the washer.
2. Open the dispenser drawer and 2/3 cup (160 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment. DO NOT use more than 2/3 cup (160mL) of bleach per cycle as this will lead to product damage.
3. Close the washer door and dispenser drawer.
4. Select the Clean Washer cycle or a full wash cotton 104 F wash (40 C). DO NOT use any higher temperature as this will cause unnecessary fumes
5. Press Start and allow cycle to complete.
6. After the cycle is complete, leave the door open slightly to allow ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
7. Repeat the cleaning procedure monthly

The new ink cartridge is not dispensing its color.

Have you tried a cleaning cycle? If not, try one (right click the little printer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select head clean). Now run a nozzle check (right click the little printer icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select nozzle check). Is there any sign of ink on the paper. Try up to three
cleaning cycles. If ink is now flowing, but not yet perfectly, don't carry out any more cleaning cycles. Just leave the printer for 24 hours (to allow any air in the print head to disperse). Then repeat the cleaning cycle/wait process. It may take a while to restore a perfect nozzle check print.

If these actions produce no positive results, or if you have already done lots of head cleans with no result, and you're sure you have a good ink cartridge properly installed, then you can try soaking the print heads for 24 hours (or more), as follows. Turn the printer
on, and as soon as the print head moves pull the power cord out of the back, or turn the printer off at the mains. You may now carefully move the print head by hand over to the left hand side out of the way.

Look inside the print head parking area on the right and you will see a rubber cup that comes up to cover the print nozzles when the head is parked (to stop it drying out). Use a syringe or dropper to fill this cup with head cleaning fluid or distilled water. DO NOT USE TAP WATER. Carefully push the print head fully into its parking position so that the cup full of fluid comes up over the print head. Leave this for at least 24 hours, then try a head clean again. Repeat this process again if necessary.

If still nothing, it looks like you may have a failed cyan print nozzle I'm afraid, or some other internal problem. This will require checkout by a Technician. Make sure you compare the cost of repair with the cost of a new printer!

Fabric softener dispenser

If you cannot get the dispenser cap opened, submerge and soak it in some hot water. Liquid fabric softener is a type of wax that, over a period of time, will harden and clog the dispenser (as you well know by now). In many cases you do not have to take it apart if you just use the hot water method. You may have to rinse and repeat several times. Try this and let me know if you have any luck. If you require further assistance, please post back with your complete model number, so I can see what type of dispenser cap we are talking about. I hope this helps you.

No hot water or steam

Well, I have little exposure to Saeco, but a lot to commercial coffee machines.
Saeco have a lot of custom made components, although these can be purchased, nothing is cheap! Neither is their repair service!
First, is the boiler heating?? If so:
No hot water/ no steam suggests a blockage. Assuming you can hear the pump working when attempting to do a coffee, you will probably find the water flowing back into the water tank via the relief valve. Of course, this valve itself could be the problem, or the pump failing to work through a blocked inlet filter or other problem.
Look now at the group head. Ever cleaned it? The filter and spray block should be removable, do so and clean them carefully. While you have them out, see whether water reaches the head by "making a coffee" into a cup placed under the head. BE CAREFUL OF SCALDING. If water now flows, cleaning the screen and spray block should restore operation.
Beyond that, it's inside the machine! There is a 3- way valve that operates when making a coffee. This can become clogged with coffee. There is another valve to open the steam.
If, like Saecos I have worked on, the boiler does both the hot water and the steam one at a time, look for problems BEFORE the boiler.
Hoe this helps a little....
