the doctor would have discussed this with you
quote from mayo clinic staff
low potassium ( hypokalemia) has many causes
the most common cause is excessive potassium loss in passed water waste due to prescription water or fluid pills ( diuretics)
vomiting or diarreha or both can result in excessive potassium loss from the digestive tract
only rarely is low potassium caused by not getting enough potassium in your diet
Causes of potassium loss leading to low potassium include
chronic kidney disease
diabetic ketoacidosis
diarrhea
excessive alcohol use
excessive laxative use
excessive sweating
folic acid deficiency
prescription water or fluid pills
primary aldosteronism
vomiting
some antibiotic use
pick any or all of the causes that apply to your situation and discuss it with your doctor or health professional

I have high potassium what can I do about it

That's the good news! If you have high potassium - or are at risk for getting it - speak to your doctor about the various options you have to manage your potassium levels. It's important you tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking including over-the-counter drugs, herbals, and supplements. To help keep your potassium levels within normal range, your doctor may recommend the following:
- Following a low-potassium diet, if needed.
-Try avoiding certain salt substitutes.
- Avoiding herbal remedies or supplements.
- Taking water pills or potassium binders, as directed by -your healthcare provider.
- Following your treatment plan carefully if you have -diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, or any other serious condition.

Who shall take Potassium chloride?

Potassium Chloride (KCl) is used as a No Sodium Salt alternative to regular Salt which is Sodium Chloride (NaCl). The people who take it are people who want to reduce their sodium intake, commonly people with high blood pressure. If you are planning to use it for cooking be sure to reduce the amount you use and to taste as you apply it because KCl actually tastes saltier than NaCl.

What is Indigestion and Acidity and How it is Caused?

Acidity is nothing but excess secretion of gastric acid which is formed in our stomach to help us digest food. Secreted by special cells that line our stomach, this acid consists of hydrochloric acid, sodium chloride and potassium chloride. The main role of the gastric acid is to activate the various digestive enzymes in our stomach which help in breaking down the amino acids present in food particles.

During an acid reflux, the gastric acid comes up through the food pipe due to over-production or improper closing of the 'lower esophageal sphincter' muscle. The LES works like a valve between our food pipe and stomach, preventing food that has passed from coming back up. When acidity occur, the LES does not work as it should and allows acid to enter the esophagus, thus causing mild to severe irritation and chest pain. After bonding atoms we are ask to name the resulting compounds in its common name and as well as its chemical name. so my question is, what is the difference between common names and chemical names? please...

Common name is the name what people call it, it usually gives you no idea as to what the chemical composition of the compound is. (eg: Common name for Sodium Chloride is Salt) whereas the chemical name is based on what the compound is made up of (A molecule of salt is made up of one atom of Sodium and one atom of chlorine. this can be understood from the chemical name, but not from the common name.)
