Pres "Menu" then "setup" then "installation" then "terrestrial" then "Iinput configuration" then the "Ant\Cable" and finally left or right arrow to set the input type and then move to "Done" button. Also, Manualowl.com has a copy of the manual in PDF form.

SOURCE: toshiba 42HP66, HDMI problems
Your Cable box might need to be reprogrammed. Call the cable company and they will drive you thru the steps to program it, this way you will get the channels. This process might take you 30-45 minutes.

You have the TV connected to the cable box with an HDMI cable, I'll bet. The problem is with the cable box. If you unplug the cable box and plug it back it it will reboot and proabably work. You should connect the cable box to the TV using component cables and you won't have this problem again.

Get a HD cable box from your cable company. If you already have one, be sure it is conected to the TV with either an HDMI cable (best) or component cables (next best). The HDMI cable should look similar to a USB cable for a computer, only a good bit larger. The component cables would look like standard video cables but they are colored red, blue, green at both ends. If it is hooked up with either of those, you'll need to call a service techinician from the cable company to check your signal levels, as they are likely too low, especially if the tech that did your install was inexperienced or just lazy.

The only logical solution for the problems people are having for the toshiba regza's tv's is to get into a class action law suite..., they contiue to sell tv's with defective parts and refuse to help the customer that spent large cash to find out they last if your lucky 2.5 years, they are junk and anyone with one will soon find out./.......
