Jmr 40mike wire the mike for the texas rager tr 296 dx

I would try using the manual for the TR 127GK or the DX models and see how they work out for you. I did a google search and came up with nothing.

get another mike thats wired for the radio and see if that cures it..If it doesn't then its inside the radio at the mic connection You would have to rewire it so the tx is tx and the dx is dx.

with speaker cover off radio controls facing you left rear corner board marking are TR-56 and TR-43

you cut the wires trim off some plastic and attach a spst switch on both wires.

Have you tried turning the mic gain up,and not knowing Texas star model numbers,is it a mobile linear,if so,do you have a sufficient power supply?Just some thoughts off top of my head.

Note - You must have an Armature License to legally perform this conversion.
1. Remove bottom cover from radio. 2. On the main PCB, locate J33. (See diagram above) 3. Locate wires on pins marked "P5" (yellow) & "P6" (grey). 4. Cut wire on "P5" (yellow) and install a SPST switch in line. 5. Cut wire on "P6" (grey) and install a SPST switch in line. NOTE: By using two of the function switches available on the radio will eliminate the need for two new switches to be installed and mounted.

Take the cover off and look for VR14,hope this helps..

Hello..maybe not a solution..but a hint..measure red-black for 0 ohms while pushing "ptt button" i think it's ptt...bare and transparent is mike...but you can look at original mike and make the same measurement for finding out what is ptt..the two others is mike ...good luck...Ron
