Question about Canon imageRUNNER 5000 Copier

Copies on hold due to statement saying check hopper connection.

We do not have a manuel so can't look up what action this statement
requires in order to clear it.

What is the statement the copier is displaying?????? Did you try to use the "?" mark key??? That is the user's manual for the copier.

Hi! i am using ricoh afficio MP171 SPF. i replaced the toner but it still showing the message "add toner". what can i do please?


You could check if the contacts on the toner cartridge and in he printer are clean and shiny. Perhaps just a bit of glue or a scrap of plastic is on a contact, making it impossible for the printer to read the status.

Soft serve machine freezing solid


POSSIBLE CAUSES• Mix hopper is empty, freezing cylinder starved for mix.• Mix in hopper contains ice particles, mix feed tube clogged.• Machine turned too cold

ACTION REQUIRED• Add mix to hopper. Put machine in wash mode to help thaw freezing cylinder.• Pull mix feed tube to fill freezing cylinder. Replace mix feed tube and put machine in wash mode to help thaw mix in freezing cylinder.• Follow manufacturer's recommendation for the proper temperature for the mix being used.

The problem is about error 000002 0000 for my ir6000


General condition
1) Is the developing assembly locking plate mounted correctly?
NO: Mount the plate correctly.

General condition
2) Is the shutter releasing member of the hopper mouth mounted correctly
to the developing assembly locking plate?
NO: It is likely that the inside of the hopper is clogged with toner. Remove
and then mount back the shutter releasing member to remove
the clog, or replace the hopper unit.

General condition, Developing assembly toner sensor (TS1)
3) Is the developing assembly adequately provided with toner?
YES: Check the developing assembly toner sensor.

General condition, Hopper toner sensor (TS2)
4) Is the hopper adequately provided with toner?
NO: Check the hopper toner sensor.
Hopper connector, Hopper supply motor (M10)

5) Is the connection of the hopper connector normal?
NO: Connect the connector securely.
YES: Check the hopper supply motor.

How can adjust faint dark adjustment?


open the front door, remove mounting screws of toner hopper at top right corner, flip open hopper cover, slide out hopper , above the drum unit in center there is corona assembly, detach connection of corona cleaner, on the right side of corona assembly there is a black plastic lock, loosen the screw and slide lock upwards, slide out corona assembly, on the upper side of corona assembly there are clear plastic adjustment screws, if u want to make copies darker- turn all of four screws evenly counter clockwise and if u want to make copies lighter- turn all of four screws evenly clockwise.adjust half turn every time and check. revert whole process to put all together. make sure u connect hopper connector at the right bottom side of the unit after sliding in the unit.

I take that it is saying that the toner hopper is not connected to the copier??? The connector for the hopper is covered by a small cover with one screw. With the front door open look on thebottom right of the hopper, there is a small cover > make sure the copier is "OFF" > remove the screw and you will see a white connector > make sure that the connector is installed & all the way in..... If that dose not do the trick, you may have a bigger problem....... Good Luck

Copies fine on bottom, but fade to nothing at top


Could be one of many things. Possible new transfer roller - make sure the transfer roller is not jammed.

Check the developer roller (at exit from toner hopper), to see if it is rotating properly. Check all connections to/from drum and transfer rollers.

This is most likely a dev unit problem. Not sure if dev/hopper and transfer are all in one unit - if so, replace the lot, or you'll be chasing one problem after the other.

Toner low???


How is the copy quality? Are copies light? If so then the toner hopper is not adding toner to the developer assembly in which case you must call a tech. If the copies are fine then the toner sensor is dirty or faulty and must be replaced.

C0F37: Abnormally high toner density detected by Black ATDC Sensor
Toner density that is 4 % or more higher than the target level is detected ten consecutive times during a print cycle, ATVC, or image stabilization sequence.

The sensor for this error is in the black imaging unit not the toner hopper. See the steps below. If that doesn't work then visit my website for contact and I will sell you a full service and or parts manual on CD.
