This sometimes happens if skype is using the wrong mic line. To set the correct line: 1. In skype go to Tools in the top menu bar and then select options. 2. Select audio settings on the left hand menu. 3. Click on the drop down box next to microphone. 4. Select each setting until you see the green bar respond when you talk into the mic. 5. Click save.
This will solve your problem. Make sure that the mic is plugged into the red audio jack!
Hi, 1. Click Start 2. When the menu opens, highlight either All Programs or Programs. 3. Click the Dell Webcam folder, then click the Dell Webcam Manager icon to open it. 4. In the Dell Webcam Manager, click the Dell Webcam Center. 5. In the lower right-hand corner of the Dell Webcam Center window, click the drop-down arrow next to Audio Source and click Digital Mic (Realtek High Definition Audio) to enable the microphone.
Alternatively you can try downloading the updated audio driver http://tinyurl.com/2a3czup
Unplug the camera, remove all the Logitech camera AND Logitech camera drivers via Control Panel/ Remove Applications, then reboot. After re-boot, plug in the camera, Windows will identify it as a USB Camera / Mic and it will work in all applications including Skype. You will not have access to the Logitech menus but the camera and Mic WILL WORK in all your communications needs. After a number of instances where I lost my Mic input, I finally gave up on the Logitech software since they are incapable of finding the Windows Update driver that conflicts with their own driver. Although mine is currently working fine as a Windows recognized "USB Camera Mic", the next Webcam I get will NOT be Logitech. It's a great Webcam but since they are clearly incapable of keeping their software compatible with Windows updates, I'll switch to another make. Hope this helps. JamesTBaines@BTopenworld.com
I CANT HAVE MY INTERNAL MIC WORKING WITH XP. TRIED EVERY POSSIBLE DRIVER. 3.45 and found around a 3.47.1 everithing ok except that i cant find anywhere the internal mic and i cant use that. How can they be so clever to put a mic line in when there is a buil in one? I bought this pc for webcam and mic built in. Vista kills the pc (it a celeron) so i need XP (mine is sp3). And the internal mic is not working?????? Noone can find solution??? Even HP doesnt post correct drivers, how awful. found many drivers around but nope with internal mic, i cant even find it anywere around in config or system... Anyone got any results?
try uninstalling the webcam and when installing don't have it pluged n till the inasallation has finished then plug in webcam and when pc finds new device just go throuh the wizards to find the device and reboot pc with device then try and using it if you can't see any thing with it you should get it replaced as the webcams come with programs so you can set it up properly.
I suggest you install the web cam application as well as the drivers. Also the Acer empowering application needs to be installed. You can click on the link supplied to see all of the applications and drives for your model.
