a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

In your case seems like the usb ports needs to be reconfigured, which OS are you on. I assume you have windows. Right click on my computer, properties, hardware tab, Device manager, Check for Universal Serial bus controllers, is there any sign of exclamation or cross sign over it Or any problem on them?
If yes, you need to install the USB drivers only from the CD that came with your computer's motherboard.
Check system BIOS and see if USB ports are enabled, make sure you press F10 to save and exit once you check and reconfigure in BIOS.
Install the drivers that came with the keyboard and mouse.
and download the right drivers for your mouse and keyboard and restart your machine.
Hope that helped!

First, try press the connect button on the receiver.. Hold it for 20 sec (might not be necessary).
Then, press the connect button on the mouse and hold it for 20 sec (is necessary)
Next, wait 20 sec (is necessary) then press the connect button on the receiver but do not hold
Finally, press and hold the keyboard button for 20 sec.

If you have got a USB receiver for the wireless keyboard and mouse, then the solution might be with the receiver. Normally we know that to play a USB thumb drive, we simply plug in and play. But some model of Acer computer require us to press the button on the thumb drive to activate it. The model I had (an Aspire model) set the press button same as the blicking light bulb. So (a) turn on computer, (b) plug in thumb drive receiver (c) press button on the drive, (d) press "contact" button on the mouse and keyboard. That works for me.
