Your carbeurator is crudded up. Get some carb. cleaner spray and remove the air filter to shoot a couple of squirts into the air intake. repeat until it starts and runs smoothly.

What is fuel mixture on 25 cc craftsman weedwacker

This small engine needs a 40:1 ratio. Use only 2 cycle oil, not motor oil. If you are mixing one gallon of fuel use 3.2 ounces of the 2 cycle oil. This should give correct mixture so you do not get lots of smoke when you start. Take the time to measure. Note: there should be a marking somewhere on the engine about the mixture.

it sounds like you have compression but the fuel air mixture is out of setting. This could be due partialy to a stuck fuel needle or mixture needles that are worn or out of allignment. If you could give me the model # on the unit i could help with the type of carb and the inital settings on the mixture needles.

Won't start

May have moisture in the fuel. Try draining the old fuel out, put in new, add Stabil, or some other fuel stabilizer, clean & gap plug. Should start.

Willnot start no matter what new plug fresh gas

90 %of the time its a fuel problem either it turns stail and clogs the carb or the wrong oil/gas mixture etc, try this first dump out your gas can and refill it with the proper mixture use PREMIUM GAS then fill tank remove air cleaner prime fuel line r&r spark plug with new one then shoot a little starting fluid as you start it if you can get it running alot of times you can blow out the gunk/gum causeing the problem? if this dosnt work i would probbably toss it for a new one ? the repair bill will cost more than a new one ? hope this helps

Craftsman 6.75hp self propelled mower starts and turns off

I think that this is a 4stroke engine and runs on neat petrol.Have you been putting oil in with the petrol like a 2 stroke engine needs because this would account for the smoking. If not the check that you havn't overfilled the gearbox oil.

I just foun out that i forgot to add oil to gas mixture to my blo

hello, what you should do is drain out the gas from the tank into a clean container so you can add the oil to it and you should also check your spark plug make sure it's o.k. after draining out the gas try starting the blower a few times with out the spark plug wire connected to the spark plug this will flush out and of the pure gas from the fuel lines, after doing this re-connect the Spark plug wire and add your fuel/oil mixture and re-start, it might take a few times for it to start due to all the gas in the engine but it'll start also if your blower has a primer bulb you may want to prime it a few times after adding the fuel oil mixture to get it in the combustion chamber, if after doing this you still get nothing you'll want to re-place your spark plug it might be fouled out. good luck
