the repair kit for this is a seasonal item at walmart..you will need the vinyl repair kit like for air mattresses found in the sporting goods/camping area..you need to put the glue on dry and then cut the vinyl patch to fit..

Victa Sabre Edger recoil spring

hello sir, i'm guessing the rope is broken , first you'll need a c-clamp large enough to clamp the spooler, needle-nose pliers,a small tipped screwdriver and a new length of rope.the safest way is to remove the rewind assembly cover leaving the spooler in place in its housing. try to remove the old rope with neddle nose pliers ans small tipped screwdriver.next hand spin the spooler to achieve spring tension until stops back off enough to line holes up, place c-clamp to hold it in place, now try to fish the new rope into the hole in the knot recess, trying to guide it to the exit hole in the cover, ( it's easier to feed the rope if you singe the end of the rope with a bic lighter and form to a point )and with a small knot at the other end, pull the rope all the way until you can seat the knot into the knot recess.next tie a loop knot into the other end of the rope,so the end wont be recoiled all the way into the housing.with tesion on the rope gently remove the c-clamp and let the rope be drawed in.if it draws all the way to the loop knot, check to see if the spooler is full if so,( not too full where rope is binding ) pull the rope about a foot and re clamp the spooler and install the pull handle, if rope is too long you may have to cut to length. if it doesn't draw all the way to the loop knot and the spooler is not full than you may need to add anoyher revolution to the spring tension in the same fashion as described above.there are eisier ways but that evolves removal of the spooler and repacking the reciol spring.( not for the novice ). hope this helps,MrFixIt,thank you.

Pull cord will not rewind

  • 1

Turn the Homelite chainsaw so that the bar and chain are laying flat and the starter cover is facing up. Loosen the four starter cover screws by unscrewing them counterclockwise with the screwdriver.

  • 2

Take the starter cover off of the engine. Turn the starter cover over to work on the pull starter. Pull the rope out about 6 to 8 inches.

  • 3

Twist a loop into the end of the rope. Insert the intersection of the two ropes into the notch on the upper flange of the pulley. Rotate the loop back and forth until you notice the recoil spring has disengaged. Unwind the rope from the pulley. Cut off any old rope if you need to replace it with a new rope.

  • 4

Unscrew the screw holding the pulley to the starter cover using the screwdriver. Take the pulley off the starter cover. Turn the pulley over and remove the recoil spring cassette from inside the pulley.

  • 5

Inspect the spring inside the cassette to see if it is damaged or overstretched. Replace the recoil spring cassette if it is broken. Lubricate the post on the starter cover using about a dime-sized amount of engine grease.

  • 6

Put the recoil spring cassette back into the pulley. Set the pulley onto the starter cover and tighten the screw down with the screwdriver. Wind the starter rope back around the pulley in a clockwise direction.

  • 7

Leave about 6 to 8 inches of rope unwound. Form another loop at the end and insert the loop into the notch on the pulley. Rotate the loop back and forth until you notice the tension is set on the recoil spring.

  • 8

Remove the loop and place the starter cover back over the engine. Pull the rope out 6 inches and tighten the starter cover's screws using the screwdriver. Release the rope and it should automatically retract

  • hope this helps

I just put up a intex metal frame pool and i noticed water leaking at the bottom I can't find the hole how can i find it and fix it I had just bought the pool

    Well there are two solutions.
1st: fill the pool with water. (yes it will be leaking)
Get a small bowl and put some dish soap in it.
Next tape a sponge or a rag (or something you can apply the soap with) and scrub down the sides with the soap. Because the soap reacts with water and releases oxygen (or Co2, I'm not sure) when it does, it will bubble up and reveal where the leak is.
I think that's the most reliable way. Another way is only reliable if the leak is large. You can make everyone get out of the pool and listen very carefully at each side. If the leak is large enough you'll hear a sizzling.
I think that the first method would be more efficient, but the second sounds like it might do the job as well and would be easier.
To fix the hole, I believe that you'll have to fix it with a patch kit. The link below lists a few different options. It's essential to have a patch kit when you have a vinyl above ground pool because it's incredibly easy to get a hole in the side. I'd suggest buying a quality patch kit to insure that the patch lasts. You don't wanna waste the 120+ dollars on annoying recurring holes in the side.

Usually caused by a small air leak somewhere on the pressure side of the system. A check valve on the line coming out of the pump going to the filter will solve problem.

Oven door lock does not unlock, I turned on the self clean mode and then changed my mind and turn it back off about 3 minutes later. But it does not unlock. The lock light is blinking.

    Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. There is an over-temperature switch built into the electrical panel of the oven. Resetting this switch might solve the issue.

To reset it: Turn off the power. Open the door (if door is locked, turn the power back on and gently try pulling the door every few seconds as the locking mechanism cycles until it is unlocked). Remove the 3 screws below the control panel (screws point upwards, with the head just inside the oven). Pull off the face of the control panel. Let it dangle by the wires so that you have access to the space behind it.

Within the electrical enclosure exposed by removing the control panel, look for a small silver and black device with 2 wires attached to the back. The device is about .5" wide by 1" long and is attached with 2 screws to the sheet metal on the bottom of the electrical enclosure.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

    Thanks

Leaks after a couple of weeks use

You may need to put a hartford loop in your plumbing between your chlorinator and the heater. The chloriene will back up in the line bad when the pump is off and corrode the exchanger. A hartford loop is simpley a loop than runs low then high above the top of the heater so it can trap gasses in the line and won't let them get back in the line. If all else fails you can use a floater. Be sure to check your PH also. Good luck.
