Temperature light came on...what to do or what does it mean????

Generally the temp light means the engine is too hot assuming its the light for the engine.
Check the fluid level in the radiator and the overflow tank, and see if the radiator fan runs when the engine warms up.
Could be a problem with the thermostat too if the engine is running hot.

Onece the range selector is turned on the light comes on but soon goes out, if you move the selector a little the light comes back on, this stove was made around 1952. Thank You, Dave

Are you talking about the oven temperature control? When turned on to the selected temperature the oven indicator will light and the element will work. When the oven reaches the desired temperature the power will shut off to the element and the indicator light will go out. When the oven cools slightly the indicator light and the element will again turn on. When it does turn off and you turn the knob slightly to increase the temperature the indicator light and element will come on again as you are asking it to heat to a higher temperature. This is normal oven operation.

Fryer overflows often, turned thermostat down from 350 to approx 340 but food does not cook then. could the thermostat be bad? 10 degrees should not make that much difference.

Does the fryer have a" temperature reached light"? If so switch the fryer on and with the thermostat dial starting at its lowest setting increase the temperature setting in small increments. When the light indicates temperature reached, increase the thermostat dial temperature. Continue until maximum temperature reached.

If (starting from cold) the temerature reached light only shows when high up on the thermostats temperature scale, then unfortunately the thermostat needs replacing.

Hope this helps.

Blue temp light blinks

The blue temperature light will blink until the car is up to operating temperature. This is VWs way of telling you to take it easy until the light goes out. If the light stays on all the time you need to have the engine temperature checked to insure that the car is operating in the proper temperature range and if it is then you must check the sensor for the low temp warning system. It may be malfunctioning.

My au Falcon teperature light comes on about a minute after the engine is started, the temperature gauge shows low temperature, the radiator is not boiling, I have taken the temperature sender unit out of...

The low water level sensor is in the overflow bottle, not the overtemp sensor.

The overtemp sensor will be on the motor somewhere.

To check you have the right sensor- short the sensor to ground and observe the overtemp light operation.

You likely have a faulty over temperature switch sensor.

Temperature light of vitz toyota

Check your coolant level first then start having sensors checked. Could be a bad sensor or wiring issue.
