Question about Pantech Uml290 4g Lte Usb Modem Aircard For Verizon - Uml 290

Open Question

No power pantech uml290vw

Tried connecting through high speed port hub, and now no power what so ever to wireless modem. almost seems as if it possibly shorted or fried modem since it has always worked before when just plugging into normal port. i have tried plugging into all other ports but now no power what so ever. my question is it possible that plugging into that high speed port hub could have shorted or fried my modem?

SOURCE: windows/xp driver for pantech duo

Install the latest Duo software load, from:
http://www.pantechusa.com/html/images/software/download.htm

If you still have ActiveSync problems, try:
1) install activesync software
2) On the phone, go to Settings > Connections > Modem Link > then set the modem link status to INACTIVE.
3) On the phone, go to Settings > Connections > USB to PC > then select Enable advanced network functionality.
4) plug the phone in via USB to PC... the sync software will recognize the phone automatically when connected, and windows will not ask for driver install.

I can't get any online connection on my desktop. It is set up with a D link and it's saying it needs to be connected to a high speed port. When it worked before on the same computer it never said...

connect your computer directly to the high speed modem, bypassing the router for a test. You should get online. If not, disconnect power to modem for 2 minutes. Reconnect and retest. if you cant get it to work, call your provider to get this part working. Once working, make sure you connect your modem to the uplink port on your router. if wired on your pc side, make sure connect to the numbered port to test. if wireless then make sure your SSID is transponding.

4 port 2.0 high speed hub for mac - defective??

No its not defective. If you use your usb modem, plug it in to a working port. It is the default or home port of the usb modem since it was installed on your system. If you use other port for it then it will not work.

Power light is red. Hub is OK. No wireless and Internet connects

Have you tried configuring your wireless settings? If your internet works hard wired, its just the wireless settings that need to be configured. Access the router's setup by going to http://192.168.0.1 and change the wireless channel. Make sure to check the wireless security as well and verify if you are using the correct wireless network key

Help

First, FYI, I hope you mean Switch and not Hub and I am to assume your Router's LAN ports are all in use as to why you want or need the 5 port Switch and that you have Wireless Access Points or maybe your Router is a Wireless Router.
Next, you have to connect your 5 port Switch to your Router LAN port. Next you need a Wireless Access Point device to plug into your 5 port Switch. It would be helpfull that all your devices are of the same name brand also.
Now you have a Wireless network.

Thanks,
podum

Dual Routers?

Disable DHCP in the router. Connect the modem to a LAN jack on the router. You'll have 3 LAN ports. If you need more ports, buy a hub. (You can change the default IP address on the Linksys, but you can't forward through 2 NATs.)
