Toto seems to flush,but suction not working and waste not emtying

It sounds like there is a buildup of waste at the top of the trap in the toilet. A closet snake should resolve the problem. You do not have to snake more than a couple of feet of the drain if the buildup is at the top of the trap which is always dry. Try the closet snake and a couple of buckets of hot water while flushing the bowl. Rigid makes a good closet snake and is worth the cost. After clearing, make it a habit of holding down the lever until you hear the tank empty when flushing down solids. Especially with the 1.6 gallon tanks.

if the flapper is on a chain, you just need to shorten slack on chain to handle.

Check the following: Is the water level in the tank properly set? Is the flapper valve opening fully when flushed? And is there any blockage in the waste line? Use a plunger to try and clear the line if the first two items are OK.

Don't know if you have calcium build up problems. If you do you could pour a calcium cleaner into the tank to try and clear up the problem. This would be the only way to possibly clean the enclosed area. Good Luck. Jeff

self activating - the pipe work is blocked and the saniflo is trying to emty (microswitch activated). as the outlet is blocked so effluent will be forced back - in this case up into the pan. Messy job- drain down remove clean clear blockages refit.

it sounds like it is not flushing completely at first and then releases and the suction is pulling water out of the bowl. Could be a venting issue or a clog issue that is hindering the proper flushing of the toilet.

If your hooked to city water it can be cause of the high water pressure comes across and keeps flapper from seating rite. Take a empty plastic bottle,cut it in half long ways. flush toilet then place plastic bottle between fill valve and flapper,trying to devert water away from where flapper seats. good luck.

Sounds like something is either in the bowl stuck or down in the waste line. I would probably pull the toilet and pour water down the waste line to see if it backs up or set the toilet up on something and pour water into the bowl to see if it comes out. At least it will help to find out where the problem is. Have you lost anything recently that might have fell in the toilet. Did something come off of the plunger and get stuck in the bowl?

I had the same problem. The fix cost me 50 cents (literally). I just placed a quarter on top of the Blue and White flush buttons (not sure of the technical terms) inside the tank and now it flushes properly. It seems that the 2 plastic poles the extend from the faux chrome buttons are just a bit too short.

Problem solved.  Reason was a totally blocked waste line that resulted in toilet malfunction.  Toilet functions normally now with removal of blockage.
