SOURCE: HOW TO REMOVE THE TOP OF THE MACHINE?

you have to remove the front first. 4 screws around the door jam and the front will come off. Then 2 screws hold clips which secure the top behind the front panel. Remove the screws and clips and remove the 4 screws on the top holding the soap dispenser in. The top will now lift up.

Water inlet hose either leaks out the top or blows right off when water is turned on.

Yes it sounds like it is. Threads are worn or damaged. Also make sure you have a rubber seal in the end of the hose to stop the leak. Get a new inlet valve fitted.

It sounds like you're probably looking in the right place...it's possible that the inlet water valve is stuck open or simply defective. Turn off the water, turn off the power, remove the hoses and check the inlet valve. The valve could be stuck, have something in it. You may need to remove the inlet valve(s).

Stripped connection at the cold water intake into washing machine

If your inlet valve itself is stripped then you have to replace the valve. The plastic thread is part of the inlet valve. If its only the screen in your inlet valve you can remove the screen and replace it. However if you crossthread anything plastic it HAS to be replaced.

If you give me your model number of the washer usually the wpl 4318046 can be used as an inlet valve which is a cheaper alternative than your local parts distributor would tell you. GE parts on avg are 30% more expensive than anything else. On ANY ge appliance there is usually a way around there replacements with some minor altercations. I wish this site had a way you could contact me directly. I just joined so am not an expert yet but ive done my time in the field. If i could give you any expert advise its DONT BUY GE, OR LG.

Let me know if this helps.

Whirlpool dishwasher Leaking water

Hello there:
Troubleshooting Leaks
If the dishwasher leaks, and you know the problem is not related to tub overfilling, the pump, or inlet valve problems, the plumbing connections may be faulty. Most dishwashers are connected to the water supply with metal pipe fittings, and the leak could be at these fittings. If the fittings are threaded, tighten them with an adjustable wrench. If this doesn't work, chances are the threads are stripped or the fitting is cracked or otherwise damaged. In this case, replace the fitting.
Most dishwashers discharge used water through a pipe or a hose connected to the drain or garbage disposer under the kitchen sink. If the drain line is made of flexible hosing, it may have cracked from prolonged exposure to hot water. Examine the hose; if it's damaged, replace it. If the hose is leaking at its connections with the disposer or dishwasher, tighten the fittings or clamps at the connections, or replace the clamps. Also check for water leaks around inlet valves, drain valves, and anywhere you see flexible hoses and hose connections. Leaks at clamps can be stopped by tightening or replacing the clamps. Leaks in hoses can be eliminated by replacing the hoses.
I HOPE THAT YOU FIND THIS INFORMATION VERY HELPFUL

F1 error code

F1 in unit implies....Inlet Valve Fault

How to Test the Water Inlet Valve
  1. Step 1 Turnoff the power to the dishwasher. Dishwashers are direct fed straightfrom a dedicated breaker in your electrical panel. Find the breakermarked "dishwasher" and turn it off. Return to the dishwasher and tryto run it to make sure that you've got the right breaker.
  2. Step 2 Lookat the bottom front of the dishwasher; here you will see a set ofscrews holding a panel in place. Remove the screws and pull away thepanels (there may be two of them depending on your make and model). Thewater inlet valve is usually located directly in the front, on theleft-hand side. It is usually blue in color.
  3. Step 3 Remove the two screws holding the water inlet valve bracket to the dishwasher's frame.
  4. Step 4 Withthe inlet valve hanging free, pull the slide-on connector off of itsterminals. Make a note of which wire goes to which terminal, so you canhook the new one up correctly.
  5. Step 5 Setyour multimeter to read ohms (the Greek symbol for Omega) and touch oneprobe to each of the water inlet valve's terminals. If the multimeterindicates a reading of "infinity," then the valve is faulty and needsto be replaced. If you get a resistance reading, then the valve isprobably good and your problem may be elsewhere.
  6. How to Replace the Water Inlet Valve
  7. Step 1 Withthe power already off and the leads disconnected from the inlet valve, the only thing you have left to do to remove it is to disconnect thevalve from the waterlines. Before you remove any of the lines, be sureyou turn the water feed OFF. The shut-off valve is usually locatedunderneath your kitchen sink.
  8. Step 2 Place a towel underneath the water inlet valve. This will help absorb any excess water left in the hoses when you disconnect them.
  9. Step 3 Usethe adjustable wrench to loosen the fitting on the water feed hose.Once it is loosened, you can unscrew it the rest of the way by hand.
  10. Step 4 Takeyour pliers and use them to squeeze open the compression ring on therubber hose. With the compression ring open, slide it backwards, awayfrom the inlet valve, so it is no longer over the valve's nipple.
  11. Step 5 Pull the rubber hose off of the valve's nipple. If it is holding tight, try twisting it to break the seal.
  12. Step 6 Oncethe bad water inlet valve is removed, take the replacement and slidethe rubber hose over its nipple. Use the pliers to open up thecompression clamp, slide it over the hose until it is over the nippleand release.
  13. Step 7 WrapTeflon tape around the threads on the inlet valve, and then screw thewater feeder hose fitting over the threaded section. Secure it by usingthe wrench. Be careful you don't overtighten or you could cause a leak.
  14. Step 8 Turnthe water back on to check for leaks. If no water droplets appear, thensecure the water inlet valve to the housing of the dishwasher with thetwo screws you removed earlier.
  15. Step 9 Slide the wire connector over the terminals on the valve and replace the front access panel covers.
  16. Step 10 Turnthe circuit breaker back on and run your dishwasher. You should hearthe valve opening up to release water into your dishwasher as the cyclebegins.

Maytag performa PAV2200 - cold water fill does not work, but hot does

Check the solenoids at the water inlet valve. They can be checked using a multimeter or ohm meter for continuity. If either solenoid has none, it is defective and the water inlet valve assy will need to be replaced. I am attaching a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Maytag washer

Hi, Just pull the washer out away from the wall a little. You will need pliers to turn the fittings off. Be carefull when you replace them. The inlet valve is plastic and the threads will strip out very easy. Also notice witch one is hot and witch is cold.
I hope this helps you.

Flashes 13?

IE = Inlet Error. if the water level has not been reached in a certain amount of time, you will get an IE code. Most likely cause is clogged inlet water screen, inside the threaded end where the hose attaches to the machine. Other possiblities are valve shut off, kinked hose, open water inlet valve solenoid coil.
