How to reset code to turn up the heat on a dishwasher model #WDT9105AYE

You can't turn the heat up, just on or off. Are you using heated dry?? It sounds like the vent system in the door is either not working or blocked. Some dishwashers have a small trap door flap in the dishwasher door that is closed during wash and opens to vent steam during the dry cycle. Sounds like it is staying closed. If you have a higher end dishwasher, they usually have a fan motor that come on during dry that gets rid of steam and moisture. Just a few things to check.

Why is my whirlpool dishwasher making a loud noise during drain, wash and rinse cycles?

They can be complicated to re-assemble. Best solution is to video the procedure (if you have a video camera) during disassembly and make notes and diagrams to orient things properly and make sure the correct screws go back where they shoud. Takes more time, but you'll be glad you did, it will save you a lot of aggrevation in the long run.

Whirlpool dishwasher error code f6e4

F6 error fault code...
This is the Water tap closed. What that means is that the flow meter is not recording water entering the dishwasher, this can be a water tap turned off (suprisingly more common than you'd think, after new flooring or decorating has taken place),water hose kinked or blocked, the dishwasher water soleniod valve defective.

My whirlpool dishwasher cleans well but once the rinse cycle is completed and drained the next day the washer has water in it. HELP!

it could be a bad fill valve.to chk this ,open the door and look for the inlet hole from where water comes in.if u see and droplets of water coming down the hole then it is the fill valve.when machine is off the fill should be closed and no water should come in.
other thing could be ,if u have hooked up the drain pipe of the unit directly to the food disposar instead of going through air gap mounted at the sink then some water from the disposar could flow back into the unit.units have chk valve valve built in drain pipe but some times they work 100%.also chk 2 c if water insinde unit is dirty or fresh to confirm above things.

My dishwasher thinks the door is open. i would start the wash and 2 min later it stop because it think the door is open. i open and closed it back but it does the same thing how can i fix it

The most common cause of this behavior is a failed or mis-aligned interlock switch that is part of the handle/latch of the dishwasher. Look closely at the latch and you will see the interlock.

Good Luck!

Roaches in circuit board of whirlpool dishwasher

They are there for the food supply of course.

Take the front panel off and spray the interior where no electrical connections are with a contact killer roach spray. Do the same with the inside of the dishwasher and then leave for a couple of days with the door closed.

Before using the dishwasher again run it empty with detergent and about 3 cups of vinegar. Do this two or three times to make sure you get all the insecticide out.

You may have to do this more than once as they lay eggs which are not affected by the contact spray.

Read the label on spray or powder to see what company says about toxicity. Boric acid is probably one of the safer things you can use and is effective against roaches (at your pharmacy in powder form). And don't skimp on cleaning the dishwasher after as the idea is to kill the roaches not yourself.

Either that or replace the whole unit.

Whirlpool dishwasher model gu1200 not working

I checked. There is no sheet of any kind inside or below the door of my Whirlpool dishwasher.

In any case, opening up the non-washing washer revealed that the filter behind the chopper assembly was clogged with food. I cleaned it off, put the thing back together again, and it was washing dishes again, until about three days later. I took it apart again and found food clogging the filter behind the chopper. I thought the chopper wasn't chopping, so I replaced it. It was around $16. About three days later it wasn't washing dishes again.

Further examination (dis-assembly of the sump motor and impeller) revealed that the end of the impeller (which is designed to engage the chopper) had broken off, thus the chopper no longer spins with the sump motor. The impeller costs about $20 and isn't too hard to replace, as long and you keep track of what you've dis-assembled and put it back together in reverse order.

On whirlpool dishwashers, the sump motor drives the impeller (it's connected via the threaded end of the motor shaft) and the impeller, in turn, drives the chopper. The chopper you can replace from inside the tub, without removing the dishwasher from its home or taking apart the sump assembly. But save your $16, as that probably isn't what is wrong... The impeller, being screwed onto the motor shaft, requires complete removal of the dishwasher so that you can completely remove the base assembly that holds the motor assembly.

If you have a GU-series whirlpool washer, the tech manual can be found here:

It has complete instructions for the replacement of every part.
