Did you try to call LG/Zenith customer support and see if they can help you? If not find your nearest LG/Zenith service center (not Best Buy) preferably a small service shop to see if they have a service remote to unlock it
you cant. these tvs are manufactured like this to keep the volume at an acceptable level so that this tv volume does not disturb the next room. Unless this tv has an audio output (red, white) to output the tv audio to an external audio source such as a surround sound system then the volume is what is. Altough a good buy a tv is from a hotel it comes with limitations. Take it to pawn shop to sell then buy another tv not from a hotel.
I would suggest a universal remote control. The Sony RM-VL600 gets a good review and is reasonably priced at $25.00. Just make sure your model Zenith TV is compatible with it. Click here to see if your tv and this remote are compatible. This is an official SONY web site. http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-remote.pl?mdl=RMVL600
You have a hotel/motel model that cannot be programmed or any of the settings changed without a special Master remote. Sorry, doubt that you can buy one from the store, they are not sold to the public. Contact the hotel where you bought the set and try to get the model number for the remote from them. This is a different number than the model number of your tv.
If there are no chasis numbers on the outside you may want to open the cast and check for numbers there. Then you might be able to google the number and find a manual. some TV's willl enter the menu or rest by pushing two buttons at once on the set. This could change your channel selection however.
Page 29 should be the beginning of instructions on using the installer remote. Reference the chart to find the menu line for start channel/volume. Depending on your set, this may be on line 10 or 11. You also may find options for minimum or maximum volume, as well as many other settings using this chart.
The next page gives specific information concerning this feature. The number you enter into this menu line determines the channel (with 0 being Aux and 255 turning the feature off). Volume is determined by actually setting the volume when on this menu line.
The "H" model Zenith TVs are hotel/motel sets designed that
a roomer cannot access the menu feature. Your best bet would
be to purchase a name brand universal remote which has the
menu button feature or order an original Zenith master remote
which would not require programming. Once you have a workable
remote which will allow you to access the on-screen menus you
should be able to program the channels.
Hope this helps,
