Question about Apple iPod shuffle Second Gen. Silver (1 GB) MP3 Player (MA564LL/A)
I have an ipod nano, 8gb, the chromatic. It is not recognized by itunes. It displays connected and it charges. But when I went into device manager it displayed two things. The Apple iPod USB Driver was installed but the iPod driver was not installed. So I tried updating the driver and I keep getting the same message. Driver could not be found and The Data Was Invalid.
1. Reset or restore your iPod for a try, this can fix many general iPod problems.
2. Upgrade or re-install iTunes for a try, this is the method that I got from Apple technical support.
3. You may try this iTunes alternative, I always use it to upload music and video to my iPod once my computer cant recognize my iPod, my friends recommend it to me, it's easy to use and works pretty well, you can also use it to copy music and video from ipod to computer, it's useful when you lost your iTunes library.
Hope it helps.
