Have a hp officejet 6110 all-in-one and when adding a printer I don't have it as an option. I don't have a disk and I am working with Windows 98. Can you help me?
Hi Winter baby,
I'm Chris, a spring baby myself. Although the previous suggestions were right for most situations this particular printer lost it's support for Windows 98 in June of 2006 when microsoft officially dropped support for all Windows 98/ME products.
Unfortunately that means that HP no longer has any obligation to help you so the previous suggestion won't work as they have taken the 98 drivers off their website permanently.
I have help a ton of clients with old operating systems get around these issues by sending them to www.driverguide.com
You can sign up for free and then look through their list of printer drivers for your modell(officejet 6110). They often have archived copies of older, off support drivers, however some are reserved for their "premium" users. If you find your driver listed for free you can just download it and go, if it's reserved then you will need to sign up for their service to access it but this only costs about $15.00, much cheaper than buying a new printer and frankly I doubt you could buy anything new that would work on 98 anyway.
So give Driverguide a try and if you don't find what you're looking for, reply back here and I'll check a few other archive sites for you.
Hope this helps FixYa,
Chris
