SOURCE: How to replace a tube holder or ballast

You can replace a ballast or tube holder if you're fairly familiar with wiring. 1) Turn off the power to the circuit. 2) Remove the tube and the cover plate that conceals the workings. 3) Disconnect or cut the wires to the tube holder or ballast and remove. 4) Strip 1/2" of insulation from the ends of the wires. 5) Mount the component and connect the wires with wire nuts. 6) Replace the cover and tube. 7) Turn the circuit back on. 8) Turn the switch on.

SOURCE: Find locate of lighting ballast in 3 door BevAir cooler

Sometimes they are in the overheade space above the cooler .. if they were inside then they would have to be HO ballasts because of the temperature .. sometimes they are in the moulding strip under the lamp itself.

Fluorescent lights will not come on. There is power to the ballest.

Power to the ballast is good. The power you checked is known as the primary power. The secondary power from the ballast (transformer), should be around 600 volts. This 600 volts is what vaporizes the gas in the fluorescent lamp. Go to home depot and buy a magnetic field tester (we call it a thumper) It has a shirt pocket clip on it. Do not insert the thumper in the fixture lamp sockets, just put it in front of one of the light fixture sockets. It should beep and the light on the magnetic field tester (thumper) should come on if you have a magnetic field in the light fixture socket. This means that the light fixture ballast secondary is working. No beep and no light from the magnetic field tester (thumper) means your ballast is bad. Ballast are dangerous to replace. Have an electrician replace it. Your life is not worth losing over saving a few dollars.

How can we copy from our memmory card to the wide screen picture frame without leaving the card in the unit.

I'm going to guess that you can't. A guess because you don't say the make and model of the frame. If the frame has internal memory, you might be able to transfer picture files into it from a USB memory stick, or a memory card reader that imitates a USB memory stick, so you could put your memory card into one of those to transfer the pics. I guess.

Could not find product key for office home and student 2007

If you recently purchased a new computer, a "trial" version of Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 was installed.

After the trial-period ends (30 days? 60 days? 30 usages?) you must either purchase a "full" license-key, either at any retail store or online, or you can uninstall the software, and then
download and install FREE "office productivity" software, from:
which imitates Word & Excel & PowerPoint.

Picture won't come on. light flashes green continually, after 3 or 4 minutes the light flashes red continually. bulb is less than 6 months old. any ideas?

This model was notorious for fan failure. The most common failure was the lamp temp fan. Its use to keep the lamp a constant temp. Also if one of the fans fail the unit will not start, This model is also known for Ballast failure also. The ballast is use to light the lamp. The best thing you can do is have a service technician come out and diagnostic the set for a minium fee.

What EXACTLY Is A Solid State Drive? Just Wondering...

It's software that "imitates" a disk-drive (as far as the motherboard is concerned) but it reads/writes to/from -chips, instead of a "spinning" disk-drive. So, because there are no moving parts, it takes much less electrical power, and it's much faster, because there is no "waiting" for the disk to spin the required data under the read/write head.

I've seen S.S.D.'s over ten years ago, connected to IBM mainframe computers, precisely because they were much faster than the IBM disk-drives of a decade ago.

Panasonic pt-50lc13 it just will not turn on,but the red light is on and the lamp was replace

Is the lamp indicator light flashing? A new lamp may not solve the problem. The known problem with lamp failures is poor voltage output from the ballast,.. a problem Panasonic refuses to correct and they decided to no longer provide the repair part through their supplier in an attempt to sweep this problem under the rug.
Lamp light flashing once every 5 seconds or twice every 5? Twice every 5 seconds,....lamp failure, once every 5 seconds,...ballast or thermal fuse failure. You have a lamp, ballast or thermal fuse problem. The ballasts are a discontinued part and can only be purchased used at approx. $225.00 or rebuilt for around $175.00 less any service charges to diagnois and repair.

I have a mod gwp10 glow warm heater and the pilot light will light but when i turn it to the high pos the pilot light goes out every time unless you blow on the thermocoupler. " at least thats what seems...

You have dust in the pilot safety. The system detects low oxygen in the area and weakens the flame on the pilot. Dust imitates the low oxygen. Blow out the ODS or flush it with a tiny drop of rustbuster.

Good Day, eger00;
Try this:

First, some clarification related to this Flowchart is necessary. The block which states * PSL #4 pin Voltage sequence is like below? a) high (3s) b) low (3s) c) high (15s) d) low (3s). This indicates seconds in which the ballast is attempting to light the Lamp. The Connector PSL is a very small connector that actually faces down with the ballast is installed. It is also very difficult to access. It's much easier to use the Spark Gap process for determining if the Ballast is attempting to fire up the Lamp. Take a look at the bottom of the flow chart below. If the Spark Gap sparks when trying to turn on the set, it's almost a guarantee that the ballast is working OK and it's the Lamp that's defective. Also, the LEDs on the front of the LCD will flash in sequence Left to right as this process is attempting to light the Lamp. The front LEDs doesn't guarantee that the ballast is functioning correctly, but it does indicate the System Control process for lighting the Lamp is working.
