-   I'm having the same issue. Just started a few weeks ago. I was able to get it working intermittently for a while by setting it to TV mode, 15 sec delayed photo and removing the batteries 7 sec. after snapping a picture. But now I can't get any trick to work. Of course it is a weekend now so I'll have to wait till Monday to call customer support. I'm hoping I can get it repaired free of charge as some of you have been able to. Perhaps I'll mention this thread and the others I've researched with 100s of other S2IS owners with the same problem!-   bspiva

-   I also am having this problem. Camera charged a little bit the first time (before using but now nothing. Green light comes on for a second and then a red light blinks 3x and it's dead. Tried plugging into 3 computers (2 desktop PCs and a laptop) but no difference.-   Guest
I just got mine to work. Hook up camera via usb cable and then press flash button on top of camera. That will make your green charging light come on. I am gonna check back on my camera in a few hours to see if light goes out and battery charges.
I contacted Kodak today about this problem. After some trouble shooting he confirmed it was something wrong with the camera and gave me the option of sending it in to be fixed or exchanging it at the store I bought it from for a new one. I chose to take it back to Target and exchange it for a new camera. The customer service associate made the comment "... another one brought back because it won't charge." which leads me to believe this is an issue a lot of people are having. My new camera seems to charge ok so far.
If you still have the box and are able to take the camera back to the store where you made your purchase, that is the quickest and easiest way to fix this issue. If you cannot do that call Kodak at 1-800-235-6325 and they will set up a repair order for you.

I've had my camera for a long time so I don't think I'll get the option of taking it back and exchanging it but I keep having the same charging problem. I just tried the flash button trick... the green light is on, steady, and holding. I'm not going to touch it any more and I hope that if I leave it this way for a bit it'll charge up.
My advice is to NOT LET THE BATTERY RUN DOWN past half charge, otherwise it won't have enough power to stay on long enough to register the fact that its plugged in to the computer.
When I connect my camera into the computer, a green light turns on for a second, then a red light blinks 3 times. I tried the flash thing and it still doesn't work?!!

Sony has a great little camera, which is about 6"x6"x8" inches. It takes tapes or now small DVD disks, and can record onto the media with ease.
This camera series will allow a person to put the camera in a belly bag, or a fanny pack, whatever you call it. It records incredibly excellent HD video and also takes snap shots, if necessary.
This series of cameras will not break the bank, costing $500 and less, giving you the option of being able to record anything you need to record, without a light source, and even takes photos and video with a low light source.
Try them out and see which one is right for you.

I?m looking for an xms gift for my boyfriend, and I was thinking about a digital camera for Christmas. Now the thing is that I on a budget for this Christmas (you know the economy an stuff), so I need a gift that will show my love and that won?t cost me a lot.
I think he should have one of the small digital cameras, Sony or Canon the important thing is that it should be the best digital Camera.
Thanks for your Recommendation

my daughter received a 3 in 1 digital camera that she can shoot video clips pc-web, and we have misplaced the PhoTags CD-ROM Software CD, and the User Manual, Please Help. I am trying to help her get started using it, I think we lost the cd, and user manual, and when i plug the usb cable into the computer my computer cannot install or find driver software without the cd. Please Help
I'm having the same problem with my MD853. Installed the software on 2 different computers (one of them was a *#$% vista). Eventually I found out that if I REALLY JAMMED the USB cable into the camera, the thing would actually transfer the pictures.
This is no way to go. I'll be taking it back.

Same problem. Tried a second battery at the cost of $14. Still no charge light when I plug in camera to charge.

Same exact problem for me as well. I've been trying to contact Kodak's customer support but their support on their 1800 number isn't open on the weekends and their online chat support is always busy. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software. I have also tried charging it on two seperate computers. It doesn't work with either. We purchased the camera on Black Friday and haven't even had a chance to use it yet. :(
I cannot get MD853 to be chared with the USB cable.
I installed the software a few times and nothing...
Any ideas?
