Push UP on the lightning bolt located right above "OK" on the back of your camera until it shows an icon with a circle around and line through the lightning bolt. This should force the flash OFF.

I have a Panasonic DMC-TZ4 camera. I am on vacation and my settings got changed. I do not have the manuel with me. My flash won't work for indoor pictures and I do not know how to change the settings. Help

One of the buttons on the back has a lightning bolt icon. In picture taking mode, press the button and watch the screen....it will cycle through auto flash, red-eye flash, flash off, etc.

Need instruction on how to put the flash for vivitar vivicam 8025

Repeatedly touch the lightning bolt function area to cycle through the flash modes. Lightning bolt with a letter "A" is automatic (camera decides whether flash is needed), lightning bolt is forced flash (always flashes), eyeball is red-eye reduction, lighting bolt in circle with slash through it is off (never flashes).

How do I turn on for it to flash

Touch the flash function area (lightning bolt) repeatedly to cycle through the various flash modes. Your choices are auto (lightning bolt and the letter "A"), forced flash (lightining bolt), red-eye reduction (eyeball), and off (lightning bolt in a circle with a slash through it).

My flash bulb doesn't work, picture are dark

Do you have it turned off? Is there a picture of a lightning bolt with a line through it? If so, press the button with the lightning bolt until the screen shows a lightning bolt and an "a". Also, do you have the camera set on a scene mode such as night? The flash won't go off in some scene modes.

The flash will not work. I think something needs to be reset but not sure how to do that.

On the Navigaton direction button on the back of the camera the "Right direction" button has a little lightning bolt sign.

Repeatedly press this button while the camera is in picture taking mode to go through the flash settings sequence. (Watch the display while pressing this button)
Settings:
1 No Flash, Lightning bolt circled with slash across it.
2 Auto Flash, Lightning bolt with an "A" beside it.
3 Auto RedEye remover, includes an "eye" symbol.
4 Flash Always On, Lightning bolt alone.
5 Unknown, I don't know what the S mode is, I haven't used that one before (something to do with ISO virtual film speed setting).

Have fun.
Hope this was helpfull.308b6a1.jpg

Whenever you are taking pictures of people within six feet of them, it is a good idea to turn on the flash - whether you are indoors or out. The Flash mode is easily accessed via the arrow pad on the back of the camera. Press the right arrow key, which has a lightning bolt icon, to enter the Flash Mode. Press the down key to select the lightning bolt icon and press “OK”. The flash will fire every time in this mode. Your outdoor pictures of people should improve in appearance since the flash will fill-in shadows normally apparent in outdoor shots.
