Hi

The error you are having does not mean the cartridge is empty. In in fact it means that either you have the wrong cartridge installed, it's not sitting properly in the carage or the circuit that identifies the cartridge may be damaged. You will need to open the printer and remove the cartridges, make sure they are clean and the correct model(if they're original they should be), then re-install them making sure everything seems to fit together snug. Also double check to see that they are all in the right slots as this can cause the same problem. Once you have cleaned them and re-installed them, they should work but may not if the problem is the circuit problem(above) if that is the case you can either contact Canon regarding warranty or simply purchase a new cartridge.

Hope this Helps,

Chris

Won't Print Color Ink

INK PROBLEM
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

Epson bx300f printer wont print black.I have replaced all ink and run maintenance checks

Hi,
According to your problem first make sure the cartridge you have replaced are original and not refilled old cartridge. Always using original cartridge is recommended. If the all of the above conditions are OK then first align the cartridges and also clean the cartridge head. You can also replace the same cartridge after a little shaking of cartridge. Take out the cartridge from the printer by the recommended process, shake the cartridge and make sure the ink is OK and not dry, then replace it again. open the printing preferences window form printer properties in your PC and align the cartridges, then reboot the printer after deleting all print job in print queue.

I bought an Inkjet 2800 on ebay which had almost never been used ,it still had the original ink cartridges in which were full. The printer was idle for 3 years and now I can`t get a decent print, All the...

Inkjet printers do not like being unused, especially for years. The print head nozzles get clogged with dried ink when they are unused and even when you insert new ink cartridges the inks won't flow through the nozzles properly. The solution is to replace the print head.

Original Vs Compatible Ink Cartridges - Which is Better?

If you will be printing large numbers of documents and other files then compatibles make good financial decision.
Compatibles are cheaper than originals. However you should check that you are getting good quality compatible ink cartridges.
As long as you are printing at least once a week then compatibles will serve you well without problem. To keep your printer in tiptop condition you should swap for an original cartridge once in a few months. This may seem like a foolish idea when you are saving money, but an original cartridge will help clean your print head and keep your machine working optimally.
If left for a long time ink can dry out in the cartridge and on the print head causing damage. Original ink usually has extra chemicals and agents to prevent this from happening. As you are likely to have to buy a new compatible cartridge if this happens any cost saving you achieved lost immediately.

Bypassing printer warning that stops my printer

this one is one of my favourite hate printers... but, no you cannot disabel this function easy, you can "fool" this printer by following that procedure:

1. switch off your printer, wait few sec, switch it on
2. on your computer go to "start"
3. select "control panel"
4. select "printer and faxes"
5. right click on your "kodak easyshare 5300"
6. select "properties"
7. click on tab "services"
8. select "service this device"
9. click on tab "estimated ink level" - it shows estimated ink level after restart

you can use refill (very easy to do by yourself and about 1/3 cost of original replacements). and yes, you are right, cartridges do tend to dry out. i would suggest printing at least one page per week to prevent dry out of the cartridge.

as this particular printer will not work without both cartridges present. i would suggest to insert one empty cartrdge in colour slot and keep it there. on full cartridge use any sticky tape to prevent nozzle from drying, cover breather hole on the top of cartridge as well. when you need to print, remove tape from breathing hole first and then from the nozzle. this way you will prevent or at least slow down your cartridge evaporation ratio.

How do I reset my ink cartridge to full after I

did u changed / replaced the cartridge with original spare or refilled it??
do not panic..this kind of problem often follows with (esp. an unbranded) cartridge change and or refilling..!!
it also can be the defective cartridge itself causing such problem..!!
well if u r a professional then just dip a cotton into isopropyl alcohol n gently rub the connector sensor/ contact surface, n reinsert it properly, gently rub on the head too n make sure ink is coming/flowing, make sure the toner is not jammed or dried up, also have a glance on the 'carriage' n see that no sensor pins are broken and or bend..!!
..if u r not an professional, make sure it is properly inserted and the ink-spill protective/head covering is removed..
if all the above fails, then it may b a defective or demo cartridge..!!
and call ur system admin....

Hp 2605dn Black cartridge is printing 1/8" LEFT of other colors.

That problem is frequently on HP 2600 series.
You must try to change all remanufactured toner cartridges with HP OEM with no exception, the best alignment it is when you change the black cartridge and the printer make a cleaning page process. Cartridge HP OEM should be almoust empty. It Is not necesarry to be a new one. After the alignment process, you can put the remanufacturated cartridges back on.
This was work for me. 100%

My printing displays wrong ink levels and prints blank pages

If your cartridge is new (or full) and you know that not just from ink levels display, then you did not used the printer for a while (at least a month) and the nozzles of the cartridge are clogged. If u used the cartridghe 4 or 5 moths ago, then the whole cartridge is dryed out, so get out and get yourself a new cartridge.

If it's just a month, then you should put a paper-tissue on a small plate (like a coffee-cup plate), then put some boiling water on it, just 2~3mm of water over the tissue.
Put the cartridge with the nozzles part downside on the tissue, in the hot water.
Let it stay there in the water 30 min.
Put the cartridge in an other clean tissue, than shake it strongy as if you want to force ink to get out trough the nozzles. Then clean gentle the nozzle part of the cartridge on some sheets of tissue.
Install the cartridges it in the printer and run a few cleaning processes from the printers maintenance software.

If the cartridge is new and just installed in the printer, and you have the inklevels but it does not print, then get it out of the printer and back to the store, they should replace it for you. I hope you removed the protective plastic stripe that covers the nozzles before installing the cartridge?...

OK, let ne know please how things evolve.

Hope it helped you, rate the solution.

Almoust forgot: ink levels are displayed by Lexmark inkprinters by estimating the ink consumed trough you printing process, it has no sensors in the cartridge. It's just kind of a counter, you can evan set an empty cartridge to be seen as a full one.
