Question about Acer Aspire 5315 Notebook
I have an Acer Aspire 5315 running Vista basic. The laptop boots but the screen displays thin coloured vertical lines as if the inverter has died.
When connecting to an external monitor I can get the bios config screen and even boot to safe mode and still see display.
However when I let it boot normally it gives the pretty little Windows progress bar then it blanks the external display, I know it's booted ok because I hear the windows start theme.
I'm thinking of replacing the inverter initially and then seeing if there's some daft device driver causing the lack of display when booting windows normally.
Anyone with any thoughts on this... I don't want to get a replacement motherboard if I don't have to...
I know your problem. even if you change the inverter it will not work. the real problem of your notebook is vga memory or video memory. use hot air to resolder your memory. trust me!
