Incase nothing else works...you can take out the memory card from your camera and plug it into your laptop with the help of a memory card reader (incase your laptop does not have a inbuilt reader, you can buy one from the market) and copy pics from it onto your system..:)

Purchased a Polaroid x800 camera and can not transfer photos to computer (and I have tried 3 computers - 2 running XP Pro and 1 running Windows 7). Upon connecting the USB cable it shows up as a removable...

Just did this with my daughter and it worked:

1. Turn PC on.
2. Plug camera cable into Camera.
3. Plug camera cable USB end into computer USB port.
4. Turn on Camera... wait until camera show message 'USB, PC, Pictbridge'.
5. PC should be selected if not select by highlighting and press shutter button.
6. Press 'Shutter' button.
7. Window 'Autoplay' appears on PC. Select 'import' in Autoplay window.
8. Another window will ask you to name your picture folder. Give it a name.
9. The pictures download to the picture folder automatically.
10. Turn the camera off and disconnect cable from camera and from the PC
11. ENJOY!!

I plug in the usb cable but nothing opens up I was downloading my pictures to my labtop, it froze so after disconnecting the usb cable, reconnecting, the sound acknowledges the connection, but nothing...

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

How do we install the fisher price camera on to our computer to down load pictures.

You will need the USB cable that came with the product. Simply connect cable to camera and computer and open the "computer" folder and look for your removable storage, which could be your G or F drive. Open the appropriate drive and you will find the images taken with the camera. You can select all images (ctrl A) and either cut (ctrl X) or copy (ctrl C) and paste (ctrl V) wherever you like. If you do not have the cable and need to purchase it, visit https://store.mattel.com/.

Canon zoombrowser Ex downloading problem

The sd1000 manual says that you will get this error when you have too many pictures on your memory card (aprox 1000). I am not sure how many I had on my 2GB card but it was a lot. I deleted about 50 - 100 pictures and then it started working again and the new pictures downloaded to the computer.
