I have the Garmin Nuvi 260W. It can only be used when it is not charging...there are 2 problems with this. 1.If it is not already charged by the time I need it, I cannot use it. 2. If I am driving for a long distance and the battery runs out, I have to turn it off to recharge it and hope that I didn't have to exit or turn before I can turn it on again and use it. Unless I constantly have it charging so I dont' have to predict when I need it, I can't use the device. Even if I have it charged, however, if I have a long trip this won't solve the problem.
Re: It can only be used when it is not charging...there...
Same thing happened with me. But got the workaround......as you are connected the other end to the car battery charger, remove it after starting the vehicle and observe that GPS would act like it is starting. As soon as gps shows "loading maps" insert the power end that you removed from the car charger socket and gpw would continue with the car power.

The battery is defective. first, you have to check the voltage of the battery if low than 12 volt need to charge. Try to charge the battery outside the unit. if this is already charge in 2 hrs then install it. check you ups if works. fyi. Battery last only for 1 year or 2 years depend on the use. Your lucky if reach higher year of use.
Check the charger adaptor if it has any output power. If no power comes out replace the adaptor.
Check also the battery terminal, it might already corrode and needs clean up.
If all does not work, the battery in the helicopter is already malfunctioning.
short battery life is contributed to these, 1. Old battery 2. Lots of apps running in the background 3. Taking lots of photos 4. Charging the phone when it does not need a full charge 5. Leaving your phone in direct heat or cold 6. Dropping the phone 7. Leaking battery 8. 1 year or more old battery 9. Continuously talking and charging at the same time 10. Ensure to contact your insurance to see if the battery is protected under your plan
To clarify.... Have you had it on a trickle charge? Do you ride it all the time? Alarm? Sounds to me (with out being there) like a common problem....But I would need to hear it. Does it run sluggish just before it stalls or dies? If yes to most or all of those it may be that your battery isnt hold a charge. You have to run your bike at high RPM for it to properly charge. Just starting it in the garage from time to time dosnt really charge the battery. Take it to autozone and get a good charge on it if you havnt already. It take 3 hours to charge that battery fully. Also another 2 things strike me as well. 1.It could be the tilt sensor isnt operating properly. 2. The kick stand sensor or kick stand loose. I would try those first. Let me know.
Go to support.dell.com and download the latest bios firmware to update it. If it still does not work then most likely it is already a hardware issue so you need to contact dell support for the hardware issue.
