I have the Garmin Nuvi 260W. It can only be used when it is not charging...there are 2 problems with this. 1.If it is not already charged by the time I need it, I cannot use it. 2. If I am driving for a long distance and the battery runs out, I have to turn it off to recharge it and hope that I didn't have to exit or turn before I can turn it on again and use it. Unless I constantly have it charging so I dont' have to predict when I need it, I can't use the device. Even if I have it charged, however, if I have a long trip this won't solve the problem.

Nuvi 260w will not charge and will not turn on when plugged in. Makes it kind of useless. Any ideas?

You're right. I ended up calling the customer service line too and although my blackberry phone charger fits in the Nuvi260W and charges it, it locks it from use. Only the adaptor allows for charging and usage simultaneously. Thanks!

Same thing happened with me. But got the you are connected the other end to the car battery charger, remove it after starting the vehicle and observe that GPS would act like it is starting. As soon as gps shows "loading maps" insert the power end that you removed from the car charger socket and gpw would continue with the car power.

I hope this help.

I believe you need the power adaptor instead of the charger.

Ups is not working

The battery is defective. first, you have to check the voltage of the battery if low than 12 volt need to charge. Try to charge the battery outside the unit. if this is already charge in 2 hrs then install it. check you ups if works. fyi. Battery last only for 1 year or 2 years depend on the use. Your lucky if reach higher year of use.

The gyropter will not charge when I plug it in

Check the charger adaptor if it has any output power. If no power comes out replace the adaptor.
Check also the battery terminal, it might already corrode and needs clean up.
If all does not work, the battery in the helicopter is already malfunctioning.

hope that helps you out!

My Seiko never seems to charge enough to pass the first "indicator" scale. After a few minutes of charging it by swinging it back and forth, then wearing it all day and night; the next morning I get the "2...

There seem to be three possibilities
(1) the battery is not taking charge

(2) the generator is not charging the battery

(3) you need to swing it for much longer (one maker said swing their watch several hundred times!.

I suggest your try the easiest first i.e. No. 3.

If this does not improve things, go to your nearest dealer and discuss your problem with him.

If you need a service center, you can find out where one is by going to their web site ( and click on "support".

Honda cbr 2004 my bikes stalls an wen i come to a complete stop it turns off

To clarify.... Have you had it on a trickle charge? Do you ride it all the time? Alarm? Sounds to me (with out being there) like a common problem....But I would need to hear it. Does it run sluggish just before it stalls or dies? If yes to most or all of those it may be that your battery isnt hold a charge. You have to run your bike at high RPM for it to properly charge. Just starting it in the garage from time to time dosnt really charge the battery. Take it to autozone and get a good charge on it if you havnt already. It take 3 hours to charge that battery fully. Also another 2 things strike me as well. 1.It could be the tilt sensor isnt operating properly. 2. The kick stand sensor or kick stand loose. I would try those first. Let me know.

Eventually the problem was internal hardware, the charging terminals has a problem and that's why you getting this error on your unit while you try to charge your cellphone,

You have an alternative to use a desktop charger in able to charge the battery, or you may bring the unit for repair.

Hope this helps

Dell latitude D600 battery charge light flashing

Go to and download the latest bios firmware to update it. If it still does not work then most likely it is already a hardware issue so you need to contact dell support for the hardware issue.

hi your battery has created a memory because you didn't follow simple battery guidelines:

For a new phone with a new battery;

1)Use the phone the first time until the battery dies,
2)Do a full charge - 6-8hours for the first time
3)Use the phone until it dies the second time
4)recharge the battery for 3-5 hours

then your battery should be good, but now your battery needs to be changed, as it already has memory and can only be restored if completely discharged by a battery conditioner
