Reformat your laptop and install OS properly. then install properly all of your device driver without confliction. if cannot load driver by automatic or autorun. do it manually.

Try Device manager in the control panel, go to the specific driver in question and try to update it there.
If it wont update in device manager try going to Driver Detective to check your drivers.

To solve this Code 39 error, follow these instructions:

NOTE:
After removing these registry keys and rebooting, it may be necessary to reinstall any CD or DVD recording applications.

1) Close all open programs

2) Click on Start, Run, and type REGEDIT and press Enter

3) Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
  • SYSTEM
  • CurrentControlSet
  • Control
  • Class
  • {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
4) This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.
  • UpperFilters
  • LowerFilters
  • UpperFilters.bak
  • LowerFilters.bak
5) If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete

6) After deleting the keys, close the registry editor

7) Reboot your computer


8) Open My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.

Fix the error by editing the registry, perform the following steps:

  1. Exit and close all applications currently running on your PC.
  2. On Start > Run type Regedit and press the Enter key.
  3. Next, navigate to the following registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
  4. Delete any of the following registry entries if they exist under this key:
    • LowerFilters
    • LowerFilters.bak
    • UpperFilters
    • UpperFilters.bak
  5. Restart your PC and open My Computer to ensure that the CD-ROM drive is visible.
  6. Also, open the Device Manager again to ensure that the yellow exclamation mark and the error code is now gone.
  7. Restart your PC and open My Computer to ensure that the CD-ROM drive is visible.

Please go to maker website and download firmware for your drive.That is where you need to go to find help. Sometimes drivers got corrupted, And of course find good burning software.

u have to get your registry fixed or windows, there is a problem in your windows registry, reinstall windows would fix the problem otherwise try updating the firmware of your dvd writer

My dvd driver doesn't work


Sometimes the drivers for any hardware device may become corrupted. Go into Device Manager and write down the model and make of the DVD player. Go to the manufacturers website and download the latest driver or right click on the DVD in Device Manager and it may allow you to download driver at that point. Regardless, you need a new driver to fix this problem. Hope this helps
