Question about Washing Machines
After you unplugged it, did you try to plug it in again to see if it would reset?
If you did and it didn't reset, I'm afraid to say that it might have damaged your touch pad control panel and/or the control board.
Both of those parts are very expensive.
How old is your washer?
Some electric power companies may reimburse you for the parts, but I'm not sure they may if it was due to the thunderstorm or what they call an "Act of God".
Any further help, let me know.

You have a failure of the main board. You do not list your model number, so I can't give you a part number at this point, but I can tell you that your machine has a one year parts and labor warranty, and a second year part only warranty on the board. If you are in the US, find a service provider at http://www.lge.com/us/support/repair/support-repair-provider-lookup.jsp or contact LG 24/7 at 1-800-243-0000.
