My HP Photosmart C4299 All-In-On Printer keeps getting paper jams. How can I correct that?

    I did get a scrap of paper out, but when I tried printing an e-mail it came out on blue paper and the print was extremely small. How do I correct that?

You most likely have some teared paper still inside.

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
  3. Also open the back cover of the printer if this model has one.
  4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
  5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it away from light/ sun light to avoid damaging it.
  6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
  7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though. Do this step especially if the jam message comes up repeatedly without any obvious paper jam, there may be a small tear of paper inside.
  8. Ones the printer is free of paper Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
  9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
  10. see alternative solutions if the problem is still not solved.


alternative solutions:
Load a piece of thick paper, for example photo paper and press the resume button (may be diffrent button on diffrent models) a few times to the printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.

    Try printing from a document on your computer, I suspect the problem might have been with your email page.

    If that doesn't solve the problem sure I could start a remote support session with your permission, where I can see your screen, move the mouse etc and figure out that problem.

It may have a paper fragment holding the paper edge exit sensor just above the main drive roller bar. You will probably need to remove the casing to get to it, although it may be possible to see it from the back once you remove the back panel.

Hp printer paper jam error message is displayed by the printer when paper is jammed in one or more locations. My hp photosmart 8250 keep showing paper jam but there's no paper jam anywhere. How can I get it to function properly?


Make sure there is no paper stuck inside in the paper. may be there is small piece of paper stuck inside
Just unplug the power and open the cover and remove the toner or cartridges from the printer and manually try to roll the roller and remove the paper.

Printer keeps saying paper jam even after all doors are cleared of paper jam. Reset didn't work.


Dear, there is very minor mechanical fault but it is better to visit the repair shop to fix it.
