Help, color and clarity is weak what do I do?

You don't give a brand of printer, but some printers software let you go into print properties and set the printer clarity and darkness. Maybe yours is set light, because of someone trying to conserve ink. Please rate my answer so I get points for it.

After clearing a paper jam when you print the right side of the printed paper is not as dark as the rest of the page. I have replaced the fuser to no avail is there an adjustment that needs to be made?

Hi there! Wich color is not dark as the rest?Only when you print in black and white or even in the color printing? If the black or any of the colors are not dark as the rest of the page you must clean the led scanners(Wehn you open the top cover you will see long black boxes on the top cover, those are the led scanners) if they are clean then your transfer belt is damaged and can`t transfer the image from the drums to the paper. You can check the belt by starting a printing and open the top cover while the paper is moving under the toner cartridges and look at the page! Please replay what you have seen so i can help you futher!Thaky for usin Fixya.

Phaser 8560 Colors are Off

Here are the directions for Tec Color correction. If this doesnt work then replacing the print head is the most likely solution. The TekColor correction options provide simulations of different color devices. Automatic is the default correction for general image processing. Use the following table to determine what option you want to use. TekColor Description Automatic Applies the best color correction to each graphic element: text, artwork, and photographs Office Color sRGB Display: Approximates the colors on a computer display. sRGB Vivid: Produces brighter, more saturated colors than sRGB Display. Press Match SWOP Press: Matches specifications for Web Offset Publications. Euroscale: Matches Fogra glossy paper specification. Commercial: Approximates U.S. commercial press target. SNAP Press: Matches specifications for Newsprint Advertising Production. None Applies no color correction. Use with other color management tools, such as International Color Consortium (ICC) profiles, ColorSync, or the PANTONE Color Chart for the printer. Black & White Converts all colors to shades of gray From the workstation, select the color correction in a supported driver. Microsoft Windows 98 SE / ME / 2000 / XP/ Server 2003 / NT 4.x Operating Systems (OS): NOTE: Some of the color corrections are grouped under Office Color or Press Match. 1. Within an application, click [File] from the toolbar, and then select [Print] from the menu. The Print window will be displayed. 2. Click on the [Properties] button located on the top, right of the window. The Properties window will be displayed. 3. Click on the [TekColor] tab. 4. Select the required color correction. Apple Macintosh OS 9.x: 1. Within an application, click [File] from the toolbar, and then select [Print] from the menu. The Print window will be displayed. 2. Horz. streak approx.3/4 down on each page I print

Sounds like some of the magenta toner is left behind on the drum. The only way to fix it is to get a new cartridge.

PIXMA Ip4000

I assume you're using photo paper.

Go to File/Print. Click Properties. Click Media Type and chose the photo paper you are using, whether it's Photo Paper Pro or whatever. If you're printing using Plain paper and you have photo paper in the printer, you'll get the stripes.

Hope that helps

Very dark photos

I have same problem, but it wasnt always like this. The first year I had the printer it was fine. We didnt use it for a while and now all images are very dark. The only thing that has changed is all the other photo management software that was installed with new cameras and accessories. I removed all the "Film Factory" , "Corel Photo Manager 6", and ancillary software, reinstalled the R300 drivers, and still getting dark images. I also played around with the printer settings regarding paper type, color management, and gamma with little to no effect.

Color transparencies are dark & poor color

Nice printer.. Hope this will give hints. Considering transparency papers, please try another batch of or a piece of transparency paper. Try to adjust also the graphics preferences (dark to light) aside from transparency paper selection. Have a nice day.

Best regards,
