I can not get my component video to work for my xbox 360 with my with my Toshiba 36A43 Television

Do you get picture at all? What is your resolution setting on the Xbox? That TV is Standard Def. Plus on the plug that goes into the Xbox there is a switch for HD and non. Check and see if its swtiched over to HD. If the Xbox is trying to run in high def on a standard tv you will get no picture. Especially using the the little switch on those component cables. Hope this helps!!

Unreadable text

I do not believe there is a solution. I had the same setup and could not read the text. I tried everything and eventually got rid of the 360 because without an HD TV, I could not read anything.

Unknown problem in my xbox 360

3 likely possibilities -:

1) The slide switch on the Video Lead plug (plugs into Xbox) is in the wrong place for where its attached to you tv.

2) you consul is set to PAL not NSTC or the other way around.

3) Wrong video refresh rate, should be 50 for PAL Uk 60 NSTC

Plays dvds on xbox 360 fine, but no picture for games/dashboard

already solved it. thanks. i couldn't see the xbox settings blade because of the blank screen so switched my component cable to the tv setting instead of the hdtv setting, then i could see the dashboard in non-hd and switched the resolution to 720p while simultaneously switching the component cable back to the hdtv setting. that worked.

HDTV Problem

there shouldnt be a problem with the cable, if you use the component leads then you will not need to use the s video cable for video incase that is what you are doing, component only uses 5 connectors and the switch should be set at HDTV not tv and the tv set at component Use the following colours into your tv:- Green, Blue, Red and the audio red and white, you do not need the yellow or the s video plugs. Then select the 1080i when in the component setings on your tv and do the same in the dashboard settings
