I have a samsung nc10, just downloaded blackberry desktop manager, tried syncronising my media and an error message came up stating "change the screen resolution to 1024 x 768 pixels or higher". This...

Every monitor and TFT's have maximum limit of changing resolutions, and if your laptop not support more than 1024 x 600 then it is not possible to change it for more high, it can be the problem of your video driver, first you should reduce your refresh rate to minimum, then see that it shows the resolution of above 1025x600 or not. If it is not shows then you have to download latest video driver for your laptop. Go to RUN type DXDIAG and click on Display tab you will see what your chipset is..then go to then download a video driver of your required chipset then try. Good Luck
Hope the problem will solve..

Resolution and Static noise

Right click the desktop and hit properties, then hit the settings tab and change your resolution to 1024 x 600.

can't help you much with the "static" noise other than to say that computers have moving parts and electrical current travelling through them, which generates noise.
