Question about Epson RX620 All-In-One InkJet Photo Printer

1 Answer

Printer says "Install ink cartridges correctly and then hit ok"

Yet I keep doing that, there are new ink tanks in there, granted they're not OEM but all my other epson printers use Non OEM ink tanks. However, it still doesn't work. What could be wrong?

Did I mention this is a refurbished printer.

Try putting genuine ink it. If it still refuses to recognise the carts then it need to go back to Epson for a warranty repair. As an Epson eng 90% of the time, rubbish compatible cartridges are the source of such issues. They can even make the printer stop recognising genuine carts.

Do not mention to Epson that you used compatibles or they may refuse the warranty repair.

Won't recognize ink cartridge

Try this. Insert only 5 only ink tank, without LM. See status monitor. All 5 ink status look gray? and LM look cross. Try to another ink tank left. Last, insert all ink tank. All ink tank not recognized (cross sign)? If yes, the problem probably is epprom.

The printer do not recognize the new replacement cartrige

I have many epson printer, some more than 5 years old. It's ok. some have printed more than 50.000pages, it's ok.
If Ink cartridge Unrecognizable, there are two posibilities : Chip Error at ink tank, or printer error. For chip error, try to plug the ink tank to another printer (same type). If the ink tank recognized by other printer, so the problem is printer.
So ;
1. Check chip conector at head carriage.
2. Check the wiring of the head, and chip.
If two point above is ok, the last action is check the power supply and board. It may be epprom is damage.

Changed black ink cartridge and now the carriage won't slide-just keeps hitting something that stops it right where the carriage goes to change ink cartridges. mrsgrdng8

It sound like you may not have gotten the cartridge installed correctly. Remove and re-install the cartridge and see of the problem persists. If it does remove that cartrigde and install the old one and check again. This will determine whether the problem is with the printer or the new cartridge

New cartridge and still shows ink low

Since the printer cannot detect the amount of ink in the cartridge, the OEM companies place a chip inside of each cartridge that counts the number of pages that you print. When the cartridges reach a certain number of pages, they automatically tell your printer that you are running low on ink, even if it is not empty yet.

If the cleaning steps on your printer is still not fixing the color, try the very first tip on this page:

I have found that using warm water on the paper towel clears the prints up better.

Ink cartridge

The real problem is that the waste ink tank is nearly full

Correct code procedure for resetting the Canon MP370

Reset Waste Ink
By pressing the black button

with the star (in a
head ?) above it, followed by
scan, copy, scan
2) Select TEST MODE (press right

arrow button 13 times).
3) Select [8] PRINTER TEST
4) It'll now say "- 8-2 +" press

the right arrow key once
to get "- 8-3 +" Hit ok.
5) Select 0. [INK COUNT].
6) Press the ok key.
7) It should return to showing

the "8:
Printer Test - 8-3 +"
8) Press the [Stop/Reset]key -

black key with triangle and
circle on it –
(returning to the state of 3)),
and then press the [ON/OFF]

Good Luck and don't blame me if it
goes wrong !!!!

Now you can print again, but it has not solved your full ink-tank, that has to be solved in future.

Ink cartridge light keeps blinking

you need to print only in black if that is all the ink you have, and also you need to remove the color cartridge as it still registers in the printer as able to be used, although it is empty or near so. Did you remove the tape over the print head fron the new ink cartridge? Do a print head alignment, or use the toolbox icon to tell the printer that you just replaced the cartridge. Some HP models chip the ink cartridges so even a refill wont register as a full tank and the printer wont print. chip needs to be reset (difficult) or just replaced with a new cartridge.
