SOURCE: delonghi pac-02 a/c

I had similar problem .... on very humid days unit leaks ..... temp solution for me was to drain the unit .... inserted wire coat hanger into tube .... lots of watery gook came out.. - even tilted/tipped the unit inorder to get as much water out of it.......afterwards unit worked fine.

We are VERY SASTIFIED with the Delonghi Pinguino - bought it years ago when it first came out and it has provided years of troublefree service .... the water build up / leaking was only recently - in fact we never drained the thing until this year.

SOURCE: DeLonghi Pinguino PAC CT90 It is less than a year has quit coolin

Read instructions and see if it says anything about cleaning or filters. A.C units **** air in and there is a filter that probably needs cleaned. Also, while cooling, the vent to the outside should put out warm air. Also, if it is less than a year old, contact the manufacturer and they should help you out. Good luck.

PAC cn120e how often do you drain

Tough to answer. Depends on humidity and how cold room is set. Consider setting it up and run tubing to lower pan so it will keep running and not shut off when full.
For example I used mine 8 hrs daily for 2 summers in a very dry room and never had to drain it.

My PAC CN120E was working fine until the outlet that is above it started to smoke. I plugged it into another outlet and red lights came on but quickly disappeared. Can you advise if the unit is blown out,...

I cannot tell from which country or area of the world you are, but in the USA, your 12,000 btu a/c unit would take a special plug and electrical circuit in many homes or apartment, because it is so large.

Today, most circuits are protected with a 15 amp circuit breaker, which can usually handle only a 5,000. or 6,000 btu unit. The next size up it often a 7,500 unit, and that is a lot for a 15 amp circuit .Some older homes have a 20 amp circuit breaker, which can handle up to a 8,000 btu a/c.
Before you start a fire in your house, have an electrician check all this, and see what is going on.
One reason I am talking about such small a/c units it that usually, household electrical circuits have other loads on them besides the a/c.
Be blessed.
