Question about Troy Bilt 5.5hp Self Propelled Mower
My self propelled runs kinda slow on the grass, fine on concrete. The mower is only a year old. Can this be adjusted somehow. My older troy built has a very powerfull pull compared to this one.
You have to take off a part behind the gears and move it to a slot farther away. Mine was the same way. It's in the manual on how to adjust the speed to go faster.

Put oil or grease all the shafts and bearings inside and out, if possible adjust the cutter blade contacts.

The belt under the mower that drives the wheels may be worn out or just loose. A new belt or a simple tighten probably will fix the problem.
