Question about Pentax Optio A30 Digital Camera

1 Answer

White screen, not responding

I dropped the camera on the ground, and now when I switch it on, it is totally white, but the green light indicates that the camera is on. I have tried taking out and replacing both the battery and memory card, but that doesn't seem to work.

See if the lens is zooming in & out. If not check for broken pcb or lens assy.

Have you tried pullimg yhe memory chip ad batteries and reloading them. And if camera is that new it should still be under warranty take it back to where you purchased it, dont tell them you dropped it and they should help you or replace the camera.

New switch GE model 15265 ... to light up 2 lightbulbs outside. Old switch all cables are black. Those who light up the tester are the hot=Red/black?? Those which do not light up are white?? Green I know...

Manual for GE 15265
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/GE-15265-manual.pdf
15A timer works fine on two bulbs, up to 1440 total watts.

If old switch has 2 screws plus green ground screw, then timer is right.
If old switch has 3 screws plus green ground screw, 15265 doesn't replace 3-way switch.

Timer-green wire connects to bare ground wire

Old switch has 2 screws with wires on each.
One wire is Hot-from breaker and this connects to timer-black wire.
One wire Goes-to-lights and this connects to timer-red wire.
If you get these two wires reversed, timer will not work, so reverse them.
It will not blow circuit if the timer-red and timer-black wires are reversed.

Timer-White wire is the confusing wire for everybody:
Timer-white wire runs clock motor located inside timer.
In back of electric box are neutral white wires that are twisted together and covered with wire nut.
Connect timer-white to these neutral wires.
If box does not have neutral white wires, connect timer-white to bare ground wire.

I need help wiring my fan. I can't get the fan to work, but I do have the light working. From the ceiling I have a white, black, red and ground wire. How should these wires connect to the White, Black,...

White is your neutral so white goes to white. Blue on the fan is for the light kit you need to wire that to the wire from your switch so it works the lights. Black is the hot wire that is always hot not switched so tie that to the wire that is not on your switch. Green is ground so green to green. white to white / green to green/ black to black/ red to blue/

Thanks for the beta, but I may not have been clear in how the wiring is set up. This all behind sheet rock with existing wire from a previous unit. So coming from the switch box there are two sets of wires...

You happened to catch the same guy who answered before.
You can re-post again and I'll step aside if that is your choice.

I see. The power is coming from a junction box into the fan-light combo
You have 2 cables dropping down to the two switches, and each cable has black-white-ground

The grounds are connected together and to the green screws.

Black Hot connects to both black wires that drop to single pole switches
White wires from switches connect to fan-blue and light-black wires
Fan-white and light-white connect to white neutral
Crude drawing shows wiring:

If you still have a question,
You can answer directly to this post.
I will not be back for about 10 hours.
But this wiring is correct from the information you have given
Hot blacks going to switches is code.

Need pin out info for aqua vu 4 pin connector

I figured it out:

Here goes: There are 4 wires inside the Aqua Vu cable that runs to the underwater part of the cam.

Red = Hot or 12 volt power from battery postive (red) terminal

Black = Ground - ground to battery negative terminal

White= Video input (or center of video coax)

Green= Infrared lighting control, if you ground the green wire against the black/ground, you will see

that it switches ON the infrared or "Christmas" lights. Simply put a switch on the green wire after you ground it, so you can switch your IR's on and off.
