Had fridge a week and it keeps building up frost on the inside of the fridge at the back of it and thermostat is only on 2! Is this normal? I have already defrosted it once

if it is an old fridge , I suspect that the door seals are not in good condition allowing moist room air into the compartment to freeze on the wall
if it is new and under warranty call for a warranty check

Building a room estension on house. Need to know how to damp proof it and stop vermin from entering.

First learn how to spell extension!! Personally, I'd not do it. I've built cabins and deck but even I would not build my own extension to a house instead of hiring a contractor like I did to fix my roof . I then added my own radiant barrier after they left. "damp proof"?? Built it right? Since you have no clue about moisture barriers I doubt you know enough to build an "extension"

Vermin is easy, use metal. For vents use 1/4" mesh or rats can get their teeth in between the larger grill and chew through. Rats can also eat through wood given motive. Do no put any food not in metal or glass containers in there. They can chew through plastic and cardboard.

Need to mo we an electrical power point in a brick wall in my apartment

More information is needed.
Brick wall is inside apartment... what is on other side of wall?
Open existing electrical box. Drill through back of box and drill through wall until you come out on other side of wall. Install new box #1 on wall where drill comes out. Run conduit over to another new box#2. Drill through wall again until you come out on inside brick wall where you want to relocate original box. Install new surface-mount box#3 on brick wall. Then run wiring from original box. Original box cannot be bricked over or covered with building materials since it is a junction box where wires connect.
Other option is to install extension ring on top of existing electric box. Run conduit across face of brick wall. Install new box#1 where you need outlet.
Other option is to chisel away the brick and mortar from existing electric box down to floor level (or over to door frame). This will allow recessed conduit that can be concealed with matching mortar. Then run conduit across to new location. Cover conduit along floor with baseboard, or chisel out brick along floorline to accommodate conduit, then mortar over conduit. Or simply paint conduit to match brick. You must use conduit since wires cannot be run openly.

I want to frame a closet do I just need 2by4's or should I use 2by6's

Framing lumber for interior non-load bearing walls is typically 2x4 in house construction. Even load bearing interior walls often only require 2x4 framing, but could require 2x6 framing depending on the load they carry(the load is how much weight of the roof or upper floors is being supported by the wall). Sometimes 2x6 framing is used for interior walls that have plumbing drain pipes to make it easier to fit them, likewise if the interior wall has heat/air ducting in it. Another reason to use 2x6 is to allow better sound proofing or higher insulation rating. If none of the special cases I've cited apply, then 2x4 is what I would use to frame a closet.

We have mould spots in the corner of our downstairs toilet.. started with just a small amount but now have lots. Not a patch of mould but lots of small spots. the room is on the outside corner wall of...

There is probably moisture inside the wall. Take a look at the outside of the wall to see if you can identify the source of dampness. Maybe leaves are piled against the outside of the house, or vines are growing under the siding, or a downspout is splashing against the house when it rains. Or perhaps you have something leaking down inside the wall from upstairs. You will probably need to remove a bit of the wall from inside. If it's drywall, this isn't very hard to do, but start with a small hole, maybe 6 inches across. If you find wet insulation, you should enlarge the hole and remove all of the wet stuff. Before you replace all of the wet stuff with dry stuff, you need to remove the source of the dampness. It could also be that this corner is poorly insulated and gets lots of condensation from the shower. Good luck, Al K

My sharp video shows the word dew on the screen then shuts down what do i do to correct the problem

do not operate your vcr in damp conditions or move it between rooms with different temperatures without letting it get used to new temp before switching on

do not switch of at the wall socket as vcr's have a little low power heater inside that keeps dew (dampness) away
