Wow I didn't know that a 1997 Dodge Intrepid had anything to do with laptop questions. unless of course you turned your laptop into a 1997 Dodge Intrepid or alternatively turned your 1997 Dodge Intrepid into a laptop. <-- though I would like to see that one!

Where is the knock sensor located in a 2008 Ford Mustang gt

is it the 3.1l or upto 3.9l engine. as there is 3 locations and there is a 5.3.l, what you are looking for is on the right side of the engine, there will be a round sensor on a wire that has a nut on the end holding it down one place is under the intake manifold, another is located in the middle of the crankcase, same looking, but the 3 on the 5.3l has a cover over the sensor what would need to be removed to get to the sensor. so looking at the engine from position one cam end its left side.

Where is the location of the crankshaft position sensors on a 97 Cadillac Deville. It stalls at red lights and stop signs and I've heard a new crankshaft position sensor is a possible solution. I've got...

The check engine light doesn't have to come on with a bad crank sensor ,your vehicle has two , one for lower rpm an one for higher speeds . A&B
The two crankshaft sensors are located on the front bank (BANK 2) of the engine block between cylinders 4 and 6. Crankshaft position A sensor is located in the upper crankcase and crankshaft position B sensor is located in the lower crankcase. Both sensors extend into the crankcase and are sealed to the engine block with O-rings. The crankshaft position sensors are not adjustable.

Crankshaft sensor location and replacement procedure

It is on the rear of the engine, passenger side. You need to access it from the underside and it is halfway up the block between the head and the oilpan. It is real close to where the engine and transmission meet.

Oil sensor

The oil light on your car has nothing to do with oil level in the crankcase but rather oil pressure. The oil pressure switch/sensor is located on the rear of the engine block above the right axle I believe. Unless you have engine noise or suspect low oil pressure, I'd replace it but you could check oil pressure for peace of mind with an pressure gauge if you wish. You may need a special socket to replace it.
