We do not have info on aftermarket systems. Suggest you remove it completely and install a quality system.

all alarms have disable function usually located down underneath the driver side, look for a small toggle switch or momentary switch, turn the key to the on position , click the switch once or twice to the small red l.e.d light stays on constant.

Try removing the alarm system relay, some car alarm has also a fuse on the alarm that you can remove.
Many car alarms unlock by inserting and turning car key while you connect the battery.

SOURCE: cobra car alarm

check if the switch in the bonet is damaged (sometimes working under the bonet you could damage the switch and miss it)installing a new battery should not affect the alarm

How to reset my cobra alarm without a fob after push button in cab was activated. I have code.

Go to the cobra site, trouble shooting. Never have put an alarm in. But have tore out hundreds of them. Anytime I get a No start or problems like yours. I look under the dash for after market alarms and remote starts. I would tell you up front, That system has to go. 99.5% of the time, when I take them out and fix the wiring. The cars starts and has no problems. The best alarm systems last 5 to 7 years. Cheap ones, your lucky to get a year out of them. Like I said, when I see them, they have to go before I do anything else.

I changed the batteries on my F350. This set the alarm off on the truck. I cannot get it to turn off. I finally had to cut the wires to the siren. The lights still flash for a minute or longer everytime...

If it is a Ford Factory Alarm it should have key FOBS (remotes). Just press the unlock button 2 times and that should stop it. Alarm systems no matter what brand always have remotes. If you have remotes pressing the unlock should disarm the system 99 times out of 100. If that doesn't work then either the battery in the remote is dead, or the remote is broken. Hope this helps. Cobra :-)

Cobra alarm

After market alarms are horrible on MB's as they have built in alarms. If you mean the remote your going to have to get the frequency code from the manufacturer or have the dealership program it to control the alarm if the last 1 did.

If you dont know how the system works I would suggest removing it as most systems dont work well with the pneumatic central locking and fail by burning up wiring it is connected to.

Yes i was wondering can i swap out a 2003 ford mustang cobra motor and put it in a 1993 Lincoln Mark Vlll they both have the same engine 4.6L 32v 4cams just mustang cobra has a supercharger so i was...

can it be done? Yes. is it easy? No. While the basic design of the engine is the same, they are completely different. The cobra in 2003, had different heads, intake and rotating assembly. Also the 03 cobra is an ODBII vehicle while your 93 model is ODBI. i have seen several mark viii's that retained the stock engine, but bolted on the cobra intake. It requires some modifications but is relatively straight forward. hit up some of the mark viii forums, they pictures and in depth discussions on how the swaps are done.

Difference between Shelby/Ford and AC Cars?

The difference - huge. Carrol Shelby designed the power plant for the AC cobra, and the 69 AC cobra had the 426 emblem on the side, but the motor was actually a 429. Only year this was produced. To this day it is one of the fastest cars ever produced for commercial sale. The AC cobra was capable of going from dead stop Zero to 100 mph back dead stop zero in just over 11 seconds, and the story goes Mr. Shelby would tape a $100 bill to the visor on the passanger side, and tell the passanger if they could grab it as he went through the gears it was theirs - no one was able to boast this claim. The ford shelby fastback is a mustang that Carrol Shelby and Ford collaborated over. Shelby's 426 was put in the Ford Cobra, but the heavier, less aerodynamic Mustang had nothing on the AC cobra. The AC got it's body style from the old Austin Healy (I think - having a brain moment). Fundamentally, the AC cobra's are the american muscle car collecters holy grail. Everyone want's one, but no one can afford one - for an original 64 or 65 AC Cobra you can expect to pay $250,000. For the 69 with the 429 up the price to $500,000. There are a million kit car cobra's out there, and the owners act like they have something special - all they have is an over rated VW with a Cobra body kit. And boy do they get mad when you point out the imperfections!
