Question about GE PSS26PSS Stainless Steel Side by Side Refrigerator
I have a GE Profile refrigerator model PSS26PSSSS that is having issues keeping the freezer cool. The unit is almost three years old and has worked fine up until a few weeks ago. We started noticing that there was little ice or what ice was there was frozen as one block. There was also water that had "leaked/dripped" from the ice machine to the food below and froze. If I set the temperature control for the freezer to say 0, -1 it will not stick. It will only get as cold at about 3 degrees. The refrigerator side works fine, any ideas?
At this moment I think that you need to unplug the refrigerator and remove the ice maker to stop the leaking. Any extra water inside the freezer will make it harder for the defrost to remove the moisture. While the ice maker is out I want you to look to see if water is still leaking out the fill tube that feeds the ice maker tray. If it is then we found the reason. If not then we need to check some of the parts on the ice maker. Let me know what you find, Thanks, Sea Breeze

The excessive moisture is a possible reason. I am not going to say the only reason. The thing is your freezer is trying to defrost more moisture now because of the extra flood of water until we get that under control we will just need to try a few things. With doing this we may be able to get the temps down more. I have plans for the next steps. Your refrigerator has a memory control board and I just want to see how its reacting to changes.

Ok, I can try that. Do you have any thoughts though on the fact that the temperature will not stay below 0? Thanks.
