Question about Compaq Computers & Internet
I want to install win xp on Compaq presario cq40-119au, but I don't have bios to do it.
Microsoft XP requires a hard drive with a minimun of 32GB using NTFS which is the best, if it is less than 32GB you have to set it up using FAT32 system, thats the old system used with windows 3.1, 95 and 98.
Before proceeding you should go to www.microsoft.com/hcl and check your hardware compatibility.
The blue screen your seeing is probably because of incorrect or out of date BIOS and or drivers or hardware failure.
You should also check to see how much memory your motherboard is capable of handling, you should have in my opinion a min of 1GB, older motherboards will not handle that much.
Check your hardware compatibiliy, then you can go from there.
