My MayTag washer will not stop filling at the beginning of the wash clycle on the large load capacity only. It works on all other load cycles and does fine once the cycle has been manually started.

LSE7806A stack: the wash fills to the water level/load size selected. it starts to agitate then stops and begins to fill with water again which causes overflow, help please

Your fill sensor is leaking and allowing air pressure from the clear tube to seep out. First make sure your clear tube from the tub to the water level valve is firmly connected. If it is then you may need to get a new water level adjuster switch.

Maytag Top loading Washer, fills but won't stop filling and then overflows and will not start the cycle

there is a small tubing about 12 inches or so that connect from the water level dail to the tub of the washer. sometimes the clamp on there gets loose and that interfers with the communication. try changing the tubing and or just tighting the clamps. you will need to lift the top of the washer off to get to it.

hope this helps

Washer won't stop filling with water

In yor machine control panel you have A part called a pressure switch or water level switch. that controls the water level and tells the timer to start aggitating .If the part is bad the machine will over fill and keep running the water!!
