If you have adjusted the tension on your belt to the max, it is more than likely time to replace your running belt. The running belt naturally stretches over time. I would suggest replacing the belt and flipping your deck. If the deck has already been flipped once, then you would need to replace the deck as well. Here is a place to buy a new walking belt for the Crosswalk 500 treadmill. Unfortunately they are not too cheap but compared to the price of buying a new treadmill they are not too bad. I also recommend tacking on the Silk Stick lube kit which through regular maintenance can help lengthen the life of your treadbelt to reduce the chance that you will need to replace the belt again in the near future.
Treadmill's belt get slipped when the the belt expands due to the usage and wear and tear. In all teradmill's there is an option for tighten the belt. This could be because the belt on the motor that turns the belt you walk on is worn out. it has grooves on this belt that must be prominant to stay in the groves on the front roller and motor. The motor belt can be ordered for about 20$ shipped on ebay the motor belt number is 118016 this is a universal belt and fits this treadmil. Before buying the replacement belt check to see if this is for sure your problem. you can tell by opening the front of your treadmill and looking at the belt. You will see worn spots on the motor belt, or as I noticed when mine went bad, it will look like someone threw a bunch of rubber eracer shavings in your treadmill.
The treadbelt can be installed by removing the front roller, the drive belt, rear roller and screws in the siderail. You do not have to remove both sides, just lift the deck and slide new belt on. To save yourself some agravation, you may cut the old belt off.
Sorry for bad news but there is no possible way to fix the belt once they come apart.It is best and safer to buy a new belt,there are many websites that sell treadmill belts if you do not have access to parts locally
